We bought some new wheels to go along with the snow tires. Downsized to 20" as there were significantly more options compared to 21". The wheels took 2 weeks to arrive and the tires took 4 weeks.
It terms of ride quality and road noise it's surprisingly similar to the OEM tires. Perhaps even a little better. We haven't had a dump of snow yet so I can't comment on the performance.
For wheels we were also considering the Enkei SVX, Ruffino Teknik and Art Replica Replica 261.
I went with :
Kraze KR194 wheels in 20"x8.5" with a 5x4.5" (114.3mm) bolt pattern and a +38mm offset.
I added hub centering rings with the correct 60.1mm Lexus hub diameter.
The Lexus lug bolts don't have the needed taper for the new wheels so tuner M14 x 1.5 lug bolts with a 60 degree cone taper were included with the wheels.
The tires are Goodyear Winter Command Ultra's in 235/55R20 rated 102H.
The TPMS sensors are generic aftermarket XTraSeal Smart Sensors.
Everything was ordered, programmed, mounted, balanced and shipped FedEx from a company called CWO ( Custom Wheel Outlet ) ( no connection/interest in this company )..
The dealer quoted me more for four 21" snow tires on my wheels and I'd have to pay for a twice a year change over...
I'm very satisfied with the purchase. The wheels look almost Lexus with the color and center cap style. I've run Goodyear Winter Command on previous cars with good results.
Would love to see some pics of your setup. I have a black on black with black wheels rx500h and would love some motivation.
Thanks
I got the Lexus Canada 19" winter accessory wheels with Michelin x ice snow.
Was good this last winter. Wheels are kind of ugly to my eyes though. But no problem in our salt covered roads since it's fully painted hence might take few years before paint starts flaking.
Just took delivery of a 2024 RX500F Sport. Even though it's still summer, I was planning to start shopping for a second set of wheels for winter tires. The service advisor told my sales guy that the "only wheels that will fit that are newer style (2022-24) F sport wheels".
Is the dealer right? When I checked wheel configurators online (like wheel-size.com), it appears that the 2024 RX500F Sport uses the same bolt pattern (5x114.3) and center bore (60.1mm) as all other previous RX vehicles, albeit the newest version uses lug bolts rather than nuts.
I do get that I would still have to ensure the offset and diameter would clear the brakes and suspension, but has anyone fitted an older set of RX wheels to a 2023/24 F sport? The service advisor said the bolt pattern was actually different from previous generations.
Happy Sunday my lovelies, those who have to swap to winters, what brand and style of wheel did you buy? Would like to support the dealer, the variety/assortment of wheels are quite poor.
I have a 2024 Lexus RX350 with 235/50/R21 all-season tires. I'm looking for winter tire options and wondering about downsizing the tires and rims to get more affordable options. I checked pmctire and tirerack for options and I got these:
But I have confusions on which one is the best in terms of performance on ice/snow and price. Also, I read that we have to be careful on brake/suspension clearance while selecting tire/wheels. So, I looked at the manual and could not find anything for tire sizes (there are different tire types in the manual saying "spare" in front).
So the entire story is frustrating for me because I am nowhere near a tire expert.
235/65/R18 would give you the best fit, comfort and snow performance. It should have about the same circumference and revolutions per mile as the stock 235/50/21 and 235/60/19 tires and there are lots of tires to choose from in this size. The challenge will be finding 18" wheels that will work with the RX lug bolts. I have not looked at wheels, but others have and it appears that few wheels work with the lug bolts.

Thank you so much. I got some recommendations from PMCtire but dont know if they have the same issue or not. How can I make sure of this?

Just following up on this post I made a few months ago. Does anyone know if 18" wheels would fit over the brakes on the 500F sport? I have found a set of 18" forged Lexus OEM wheels from an older model IS. They have the same centerbore, offset, and lug spacing, but I can't find a published spec about what diameter wheels will fit over the F sport brakes.
I'd prefer to get the smallest diameter rim I can fit, so I can make use of a larger sidewall for winter tires. Our potholes in Michigan can be obscenely hard on wheels. Just from a cost perspective, I'd like to avoid buying 21" winter tires.
Tire Rack now has wheel and tire packages that fit the RX350. They come with new wheel bolts so there is no issue with trying to match the wheels to the OEM wheel bolts. I plan to get 18" wheels with the OEM 40mm offset and 235/65-18 Michelin Defender2 tires to replace my OEM 21" wheels with Goodyear 235/50-21 tires. This will give me the "Lexus ride comfort" these cars were known for.
Hi,
I am shopping for Winter tires for 2024 RX350h (luxury package). I am hearing mixed opinions on 18" feasibility. I've spoken to 4 different dealership parts departments and they are all saying 235/60R19 is the only downsize option. But I am seeing online that many went with 18". I am confused as who is right here...
