So..I put my 18s on permanently for the winter season (i usually wait till December) but decided it was a nice day. Moreover, I the curiousity was killing regarding the "New Wheel registration" in the menus. I tried looking up instructions in the manual, nothing. Then google, nothing. In the deep dive tutorial they show the initial menu but nothing more. Anyway I successfully did it. I just wanted to point out that it took about 30 minutes for the process to work with no indication until it was done, this means the car was on and running. There was a message that it would take awhile. Later another message showed up on the HUD. I did plan the change followed by a 30 minute drive knowing I would be heading into the big city. I just wanted to share my experience, since I wasn't even sure it would work and others may feel the same. It is nice that we don't have to rely on a dealer or someone else to program them.

We ended up going down to 19" wheels with Blizzaks, I tried a few different places, some told me that 20's weren't an option, others weren't sure about them because the system would only give them 19" and 21" options. Overall I'm pretty happy, gives it a bit of a rugged look for the winter.
did you go from 21 to 19. I have 21s and wouldnt mind this if it does work.
Yeah, the base model RX comes with 19", and the 21" are optional, which is why I think a lot systems, including those online only give those two options but not 20" options. We could have gotten 20" instead but the dealer said they weren't sure if they would fit or not. It took a couple weeks for these to come in and I didn't care that much about the difference. The price difference was only about $60.
Edit: I just noticed you have a 500h, I think those are different because of larger calipers, mine is a 350h.

Reason: 500h vs 350h

I swapped 2019 RX350 for 2023 RX500h this past summer but kept the old winter tires. They obviously won’t fit over the 21” rims but I figured I can save almost a half by buying new wheels for old tires than buying new tires for new rims.
Will 20" 4th gen wheels fit the 5th gen 500h considering the OEM rims are 21"? There is about an inch of available room between the brake caliper and the rim on the front.
I checked a few websites like Wheelwiz and they make it seem like you can even fit 18s which I highly doubt.

I had an SRT8 with 20” wheels and Brembo breaks. I was able to install 18’ winter tires, there are rims that are designed to gain maximum clearance for big breaks. Ask a reputable tire/rim installer for your options.
Rim size: 18X8.0,DR3,5X114.3,60.1
Tire size: 235-65-18 Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2 106S
However, he discovered unlike his previous Toyota Highlander, the 2023 Lexus actually uses lug bolts (not sure if this is the right terminology) vs. lug nuts. The guy doing his tires noted the OEM lug bolts that go onto the 21" OEM rim are conical in shape where as the after market ones require flat surface lug bolts.
What do you guys recommend as far as lug bolts are concerned? Is this something that can be bought just on Amazon? Are all lug bolt threads the same while the head can be different sizes?
Thanks!
AM thinking about getting m14x1.5 to m12x1.5 converter bolts. Planning to use that with rims + bolts from RX4.
The tires on my RX250h say M+S which is sweet as I normally only use M+S all year round, but upon closer inspection there is no snow flake emblem so they don't meet the legal requirements for snow tires in BC.
