Sorry MSRP is 51,400. Dealer offering 44,500. So ~13% discount.
I would push harder if thats after the purchase cash. Your leaving 3% on the table. Some dealerships in texas are of course stubborn, but have seen some dealers doing some good work
Can you give pointers on how you negotiated that deal? That is an awesome deal I am looking in the Houston Texas area

I`d go with what have you done so far to negotiate a deal? Have they given you numbers, have you decided what you want definitely in your build and what you can live without? Lease vs purchase, cash vs finance, finance through LFS or outside? Have you had some extended non dealer route test drive?
I'm going to look at a very clean CPO 2017 RX450h today. One owner car with 43k miles for $38500 and it's a nav & luxury package car. Browsing this thread, it seems 15% discount is possible on a new 2019. I'm interested in a nav & luxury package car which is around $56000 new, so $47600 assuming 15% discount can be had on it. If that is the case, for an extra $9100 I might as well buy new and choose the exact color combo I want (nebula gray with brown interior).
Has anyone been able to buy a new RX450h this month at 15% off or better? Of course what will complicate any deals is if a trade is in the equation which I have (2012 RX450h). I suspect if after some arm twisting I'm able to get 15% off a new one, they'll just lowball my trade. I wasn't specifically looking to upgrade from my 2012, but happen to come across that clean 2017 CPO when I browsed their website to schedule an oil change, which is always how I get the itch to upgrade lol.

sell your 12 rx450h to carvana or vroom. Dont muddle trade in with your new buy. Dealer discount varies in different region. Where are you located? Certainly 15% is doable. I bought my 19' RX450h fsport in Feb. MSRP is $62,299. I was able to get 13% off. I felt like I could haggle the dealer for some more discount if i can be patient enough. With a better rebate this time, I'm pretty sure you have better chance to get 14-16% off MSRP.

Wow I didn't realize they're that aggressive with discounts that early on in the year, 13% off in February. I'm in New Jersey. Just browsed several dealer inventory, seems there are no luxury package equipped car around.
I've been bombarded with those Carvana (and this other something like webuyallcars of something) ads lately. Those ads dont' work on me - the more I get nagged by an ad the less likely I'll use their products or services. I will take suggestions from forum members, so I will take a peak at Carvana.
Just ran it through Carvana - $11000. My sales guy at my Lexus dealer quoted me $11-12k over email sight unseen, and he said they might go higher if they see it. Plus by trading I won't get taxed on the value of the trade so that's another $800-$1000 depending on what I ultimately get on the trade.

Or they might offer less, since most dealerships wont quote anything in writing until the used car manager sees the actual vehicle. Knowing your options in third parties and of course your sales tax burden is important as well. Drive it down to Carmax or Carvanna etc, get a quote in hand, and the sales tax burden. Get the dealership to get you the best price on your new vehicle, and then let them at your used. Either way trading in a vehicle, while purchasing a new one kinda leaves you open to dealer shenanigans since they are taking on new risk with the used car.

coolsaber knows his stuff. 99% of time the dealership will offer less for your trade in when they actually reel you into the dealership than whatever he quoted you on the phone.
They saw my car and offered $12300. This is near the $12700 Edmunds quotes on an "outstanding" condition car which typically no cars qualify for. I've purchased 3 other Lexus from this salesman. He's my favorite out of them all from any dealerships and makes. Never the best price at first, though the salesman is never the one to finalize deals, but what I like is that he doesn't give me the typical salesman BS. Also like this dealership a lot. My last 2 cars I bought, I requested an extended weekend test drive and both times they obliged by letting me keep a matching car from their loaner fleet for the weekend. And they always give me loaners at my request even with minor routine maintenance.
Whenever I buy a car which involves a trade, I always just offer the difference in price I'm willing to pay, and I tell them I don't care how they shift the numbers between valuing my trade and discounting their car. My initial email to him on this CPO was my car + $20k. We're currently $26200 apart, but I have not yet made any attempts to negotiate.
Unfortunately their sales manager took that CPO 450h home and he's off so I didn't get to see it. I did mess with a car on the showroom floor. It feels quite a bit more open up front and way more luxurious feeling than my 2012.

They have a hard time "reeling me in". I have been buying cars by phone for 40 years, ever since I joined my dad's credit union. They had a "surrogate auto shopper" that negotiated the deal for you an then you just went and picked it up. 30 minute process. It can be done. On a new car I just negotiate by phone all the way. I haven't bought a used car in a long time, which was I will (probably) do now. Lexus holds their value so well that I may just opt for new. We'll see.

im glad you have someone you can trust and work with, thats rare. Correct me if im wrong though, your currently off by $6200 difference on a cpo? If so, is the 17 CPO priced that poorly?

Oh yes, $6200 and not $26200 lol. Yeah I was asking them for a straight up even trade from my 2012 to their 2017
The CPO 2017 lux/nav car is $38500 with ~42k miles, 1 owner car and not a "fleet vehicle" (aka loaner cars which I will never buy) and excessively maintained per the Carfax report. From the pictures the beige leather seats look immaculate, as is everything else in the interior, but of course remains to be seen. This seemed like a decent deal until I'm learning that 15% off can be had on a new one.

The best new car makes the best used cars. A very cliche thing to say but most fitting here.
My first used car I bought in many years is my current 2012 RX450h. It was also a CPO and it had ~48k miles when I bought it when it was just under 2yrs old. It was driven by a Lexus rep and they gave me the entire stack of maintenance record with it. I now have ~110k miles on it and it has never gone back other than for routine maintenance. I traded a 2008 MDX on it. Prior to the MDX I had a 2006 RX400h and a 2001 RX300 which were bought new. I wish to continue the tradition of owning every generation of the RX with this 2017 I'm looking at right now, but if I can get 15% off on new and still get $13k for my 2012 I might go that route, though I have serious doubts I can score the deal on both ends. Seemingly a fair trade on my 2012 based on all the online estimates so far, but naturally I was hoping for more.
How was your experience with Herb Chambers dealership? I am in Maine but am looking at cars in New Hampshire and MA, as our only Lexus dealership in the state isn't very flexible on price. Looking at Herb Chambers and Ira Lexus in MA-- did you deal with both? Differences? Reason you went with Chambers?
