The final product will be a very sophisticated plug and play tune. It will have a fail safe program that would switch back to the stock settings if a reading is too high/off and also a CEL code reader. It is still not a re-flash, but will be the best alternative for some.

Based on the Infiniti Q50/60 pricing it should be $100 for the JB4 upgrade for existing Stage 1 customers and $479 for the JB4 standalone kit. Data cable is an additional $35 (laptop) and bluetooth adapter (mobile) is $140. Again we are only in the testing stage, so no definite release on this product.

Terry and I have been doing some more testing and we noticed that when you press the pedal down its only opening throttle to around 84% but once you press down further at the "kick down" point then opens throttle to 100%. He was able to make an update to allow 100% without hitting the kickdown on the JB4.

Nice, so you are well aware of how good BMS products are.

I always wondered if the car made full power right before kick down. interesting.

So far in your testing, does the JB4 prototype make more max power and under the curve? Or is it more of a safety thing?

Does it run richer or the same afr wise?

From our discovery the kick down is necessary for 100% pedal. As of now i am running a stacked tune (re-flash and BMS), but i do not want to add more than 2 PSI on top since i am still running 93oct (pump fuel). I plan on reverting to the stock tune this weekend and just do testing on the JB4 system. I don't expect to make as high numbers as the TTI re-flash on pump gas, but definitely more power under the curve with the use of higher octane fuel (E30 mix) since the JB4 reads engine's parameters for safe useage. I do think that the ability to adjust boost per engine speed on the JB4 would help make more top end power as well.
