If you can find a local tuner with the right software that works on our ECU you can get it tuned. The TTI tune is designed to work on the stock motor or with bolt on's, but unfortunately there's no company ( TTI still in works) that has developed an upgraded turbocharger for our motor either.
I didn't think the turbo would be the issue, dont people do custom turbo setups all the time? I was more worried about being able to tune it
Definitely. It'll give it a bit push. <--- Okay. Well. Maybe it won't do what the emoji is doing but I can pretend.
I'm assuming your IS has a tune on it. What else have you done to it besides tune, if you don't mind me asking?
No problem. I currently have a PPE test pipe, HPS intake tube w/ F Sport filter, FTP chargepipe, TTI turbo muffler delete and TTI Stage 2+ re-flash.

On the newer motors the turbo is directly bolted to the head, so it eliminates the use of a turbo manifold since its integrated .That being said the upgraded turbo must be able to bolt directly to our motor which is the issue since no aftermarket turbo company has even started working with our motor.

There's a thread that TTI created with a complete tear down of the oem turbo in the performance section.
I am doing some testing for Burger Tuning. We installed the JB4 motherboard from the Infiniti Q50/60 unit to see what readings match up. Once i get the tools to revert my ECU to the stock tune then i will do some datalogging with the different maps.

Unfortunately the JB4 is still a plug and play tune so it has no effect on the throttle settings. If you look at the data log you can see a nasty dip in the throttle. The JB4 just takes the BMS tuning box to another level allowing us to use more features such as boost by gear and RPM for optimal performance.
Maybe we should all sign petition to have Lexus release the throttle delay fix because it really is dangerous. I’m still not used to it and I’m sure many would agree lol just a thought
Do you have any data log for JB stage 1 vs this Jb4 prototype? notable differences? AFR?
Excited to see the results.
I wonder if the throttle limitation is simply to preserve the life of the transmission and drivetrain.
I believe the delay was an attempt to keep the 0-60 times higher compared to the 350/300 “ who needs the more expensive worse on gas car when they can get the 200t

The JB1 (Stage 1) only records boost readings whereas the JB4 has a different motherboard that adds the OBD port connection (canbus) so you can add boost by engine speed, gear etc. As of now with the Q50 motherboard there are a few readings that are off such as IAT and gear. I will do more testing once i am back on the stock ecu tune.
