I think there program is in house developed based off their Mazda work.
Yes the compressor wheel (impeller) is a lot larger, but what i am seeing is also a bit larger compressor housing to help with the larger volume of air. I will keep a look out for more information, so we would know the specifics.
OV just recently developed this new tuning program, but they have been using another system for their previous 200t re-flash tune. Just want to find out what other systems we have available.

It doesn't look larger to me. Could be the fact that the two stock turbo pictures you have don't have the waste-gate diaphragm on the turbo or is not mounted.

Its comparable to the VW/AUDI K03 and K04 turbo.

In our case inlet diameter stays the same but the impeller is larger and so is the housing.

I believe sheddy’s correct about the prototype trd turbo being bigger. Two things learned here, with a trd turbo or just a turbo swap means our engine should safely produce up to 350+hp. our current turbo has a 40mm compressor opening which is normal not small, TRd still predicts 290hp and 360tq which sounds about right. The bigger the turbo the more boost it’ll safely hold producing hp, torque is a different picture because even the smallest turbos can peak 350tq. As you can see there’s not even a significant raise in torque between Spec A and Spec B.

Awesome part is that most likely we will be able to use the existing bolt on's such as the down-pipe, charge-pipe etc. Now we can just hope for a decent price tag (highly doubt) or another reputable turbo manufacturer getting into this. 8AR future should be exciting.

You can find plenty of aftermarket turbos that are universal. Most likely you’d wanna put on another twinscroll. As long as it bolts on with clearance and fits our wastegate vacuum. There’s more to it but I guarantee any shop will do it for 4-6k the only thing that’ll stop them is the tuning. A while back Tony told me in person with mr mason, that he could support a turbo swap

Not sure if this known before, but the 8AR-FTS is being raced in an RC.

Yup! I would love to know the modifications on their 8AR. They are also saying that the new Supra will be branded “Gazoo” instead of Toyota.

I wonder if the new Supra will employ the trd spec A for they’re 2.0t powertrain

That'll be great, the aftermarket support for the TG20 (8AR) would be crazy. I am hoping the whole BMW collaboration is just for the suspension, body design etc.

My TTI Stage 2+ is running good, it definitely holds the boost longer than Stage 2 and is stronger than my customized (incomplete) dyno tune. I am hoping Tony can figure out the reason why we got a lower outcome than Nuke's 260whp 290wtq.
