There are three Kia K900's in my neighborhood, 1 G90 and 1 G70 (that I know about.). Every single owner is more than happy with their vehicles. Just as clarification, my neighborhood has 132 homes, but the entire gated community has 500+ So I'm sure there are others out there as well as everything else. Plenty of LS460's! My next door neighbor has a 2016 460.
New to the forum and just purchased a 2013 LS460L with exec package. I evaluated a number of cars but will focus on my experience with evaluating Genesis G90, (also looked at Volvo S90).
To sum things up; the Genesis is all about bling. It looks good and it is a descent ride. My order of preference during our eval was LS460L first, Volvo S90 second and Genesis G90 third. We did prefer the Lexus ride. I liked the Volvo S90 sound system better than the ML, but I was testing a 2018 S90. Where the Genesis really faultered was the dealership experience. We encountered one of our worst if not the worst dealership experience we have had at Mississauga Hyundai/Genesis dealer near Toronto Canada. I will not go into details, but when my wife says “that is it, we are out of here”, it was bad. If you are moving up from a Corolla, you may have tolerated things better. When you are looking to pay $50k cash for a car, you should expect more. We felt that if this was how we would be treated during the sales experience, we did not want to own a G90 and be depended on the dealership for the service side. This experience was magnified by us coming from Northwest Lexus (we had our RX serviced) and getting the level of service we expect from a Luxury dealership.
When Genesis Canada only sells 82 G90s in Canada in 2019 and this dealership has 10 used 2017 G90s on their lot, I really expected they would have treated us a lot better. I know in the USA; the Genesis owners complain about the Genesis experience. I thought how bad can it be. Well it was bad. Could not buy the car when you read about poor service and experience it during the sales process. I will acknowledge not all Lexus dealer experiences are good, but that is why we deal with the dealership we purchased our RX at.
PS, I really liked the Volvo S90 but man a supercharge, turbocharge engine; a big concern for me. Also, the test car I drove had the notorious vibration, (could be tires, rims, brakes or the know drive shaft problem).
Anyway, it looks like the Genesis G90 can play; but not certain about the rest of the package surrounding the car.
They have to have a dedicated line of dealerships or at least separate the staff from Hyundai and Genesis within the same dealer (as Lincoln does with Ford).
I think a big part of the problem is that Hyundai started to do the separation of the dealerships without having a SUV product. There is no way a dealership in North America can survive depending on just sedan sales. I put this on Hyundai.

The other side is if you buy new, you get complimentary valet service for 3 years so you will never have to set foot in any dealership service department. In addition, you get a 5 year/60K bumper to bumper factory warranty AND a 10 year/100K power train warranty. That's a game changer IMO.

While it isn't guaranteed, most Lexus dealers will do this also. All the Lexus dealers here will do valet pickup and dropoff for service.

The valet service and warranties will be very important factors when I purchase my next car (soon), probably the deciding factors.
To service my LS400, I drive to the dealer, wait in line for a service writer to come to the car, go to the writer's office to sign the work order, go to the loaner desk, wait for a clerk to do the paperwork, go outside and wait for a loaner to be brought around. If I use my independent Lexus mechanic, I must drive to the not-close shop, they tell me what needs doing, if it's going to be there until the next day, I phone Enterprise to pick me up at the shop (which doesn't furnish loaners or pay for their use), take me to the Enterprise office to do the paperwork and get a car.
[QUOTE=SW17LS;10738755]No, but Genesis doesn’t always give you a G90 loaner either.
In any event, I don’t care about having to drive a lower model Lexus loaner.[/QUOTE

No one said Genesis loans G90s. The Lexus dealer loaners are never 460s.
You seem to have a problem seeing points others make. In this case, it was to contrast the Genesis "Valet" program with what is involved when there is no such service.

It is interesting that the deciding factor for your next car might be a loaner or if the brand comes gets the car from you. I don’t think Lexus or Genesis are more that once or twice per year service intervals. Is there no work around for you? If something is really desirable for you, could you not use Uber for the day etc etc. I don’t believe any brand offers pick up or loaner and drop outside of warrant, so what happens then.

Genesis does actually loan G90s to G90 owners, its just not ALWAYS a G90. I have seen LS460 and LS500 Lexus loaners believe it or not, but its rare. Around here they are usually RXs or NXs.
No problem seeing others points, just discussing them on a discussion forum, If you want that service from Lexus you should call your dealer because they may actually offer it.
And I wasn't responding to you...my post was directed to RussLS460. I try to avoid talking to you whenever possible because you're so rude.

Lexus dealers that do this will do it for any vehicle, not just vehicles in warranty. But as a corporate policy I think you're right, I dont believe any of them will guarantee it for cars out of warranty.
