G90 came in only in 2017 therefore this is a fair comparison.

Do you know what specific issues were problematic? The only problems I’m aware of were the sunroof wind noise (corrected at the dealer by an adjustment) and an oil hose to the turbo recall. I’m interested in the Ultimate V8 model and that is a naturally aspirated model.

I remember a Consumer Reports analysis that did say the 2017 did have more issues than the 2018+, HOWEVER the G90 launched as a 2016 model year (in 2015) in S Korea so one would think the 2017 would have some issues already identified & resolved.
Keep in mind this is relative; it's not like the 2017 G90 is a complete POS. The used 17 G90 prices are very attractive, with V8 Ultimate's in the high $30s/low $40s based on condition and mileage.

I just remember some teething problems being discussed on the forums.

If you’re looking to spend under 20k, get the LS460. The older model Genesis were ok...the only ones I could find had the 3.8l v6s which was a no-no personally. On top of that, LS interior quality was better back then. If you’re budget is more like 30k or above, I would consider a Genesis but LS is still a great choice!

Can the LS600 turning radius possibly be correct at 9'4'?

NO way... The turning radius isn't bad, but it's not 9'4"

Definitely not. Should be more like 18.7 feet... slightly less if it's equipped with rear-wheel steering.

9'4" if it's equipped with the factory tank-turn option... Part of the Lexus Safety System+ package.

Here's an interesting take on the whole Lexus LS vs Genesis G90 discussion, from the Genesis G90 forum's perspective. This thread is mostly comparing the new LS500 to the G90, but it does offer some interesting discussion about the differences between the two flagship sedans (with an obvious bias towards the Genesis).

Not surprising at all. Any time a new user joins and starts “bashing” a car, it’s bound to happen.

Having recently driven both the LS 500 and the G90 back to back the obvious choice between the two was the Genesis for me personally. It just feels like a more substantial car in every way. Then you have the 5 year/60K bumper to bumper factory warranty AND the 10 year/100K powertrain warranty. Does any automaker offer anything like this?

And let's not forget that for the first time ever, this year, the Genesis G-90 toppled Lexus in the J. D. Power dependability survey for 2020 models. A first in the 31 year history of J. D. Power surveys....... Lexus was ranked in second place, surprise, surprise....OOOOooooh, noooooooo, please tell me it isn't so; but it is ladies and gentlemen!
