Default Ls460 is-f tcu

Any body diving into this as of yet. I heard it was plug an play for the GS460... But not so for the LS460. Then I read that the pins etc. For the GS460 an LS460 are identical. If that's the case, then the IS-F TCU should ummm... Plug right up ☝

The main reason I started with this specific platform. All the best go fast Lexus F parts at time. IMO pointless to have 400+ HP and the butter smooth slow shifting AA80E. Only the open E differential is holding me back. While GS460tuner’s did shift fast there was something off about it... Even he mentioned finding a Sport/F Sport model.

He said the LS has an additional Pin so no plug and play for the LS.

Gotta couple buddies helping to source here in Az for a later model LS460 sport tcu... Maybe the only hope. I cant say i know much about the LS460 do's an don'ts but i have some basic knowledge in general about cars an boosting them (where this build will eventually go). As far as the 2pins to 4 on the LS460 can anyone answer what said pins are or if you splice or even leave out what would happen?

Also on a side note. Im working with a remote tuner on the LS460 ECU an Yes TCU. Has anyone at all did a "ecu" tune? Curious to see if I'll really be the only one.

I’m sure it’s doable when accounting for the extra pin. I have a simpler idea of converting a base LS460 to a sport model by adding a paddle shifter steering wheel if it would require an f sport TCU.

Just sayin with SooOoO many similarities it would be nice, to see what meshes an want doesn't. Idk how many auto wrecking yards are in the surrounding cities where everybody else lives... But we wreck a lotta cars in Az (not so lol) so if a 2012 LS460 F Sport has the same this that an thee other than im.. Gonna go ****** up a TCU.. Maybe just maybe the whole trans an steering wheel.. Hell, maybe just maybe the transmission, TCU + ECU an a steering wheel.

I wonder if the Sport Shift Direct (SPDS) tech found in the f sport models and the ISF are mainly software in the TCU accompanied with the paddle shifts.

here’s an hour long video on the AA80E if you have time:

I don’t think you can since the LS connector has an extra pin as opposed to the GS460. Unless someone knows what that extra is for...

I am interested in knowing the LS460 F Sport’s TCU is different than the non-sport model. I don’t like the non-sport’s e shift which is more like a rev limiter and not direct shift. Probably easier to add the LS460 F sport’s direct shift system onto a non-sport model.
