Damages due to under carriage collision LS460
What is everyone's experience in going over something and damaging the under the car (undercarriage) of Lexus LS460/LS600. I have a 2008 LS600HL. The engine cradle got damaged, and there is frame damage. What are other items I should be aware of. Which areas of the car and body usually are affected by this kind of collision.

Welcome to CL as a new poster.
What exactly did you hit with the LS that damaged it?....or don't you know? The LS600HL, of course, being a hybrid, has different components (and generally more of them) in the engine-cradle than the regular LS460.

I drove over a divider. The compact affected the body as well.
Are there diagrams on how the force gets distributed on under carriage collision. The bumper did not get damaged and the airbags did not open.

I agree with baddis es. Take it to a reputable Lexus or independent shop and get it inspected. Also, depending on how just much of the undercarriage you actually scraped over the divider, have them look for any damage to the exhaust pipes, catalytic converter, drive shaft, universal joints, rear differential, and any other exposed components underneath.

sorry to hear about your car, but not quite sure what you're trying to accomplish. are you trying to get informed before going to a body shop so you can evaluate whether a quote is reasonable?
why not just file an insurance claim to get it fixed regardless?
