fit and finish is good, i couldn't tell the difference in color next to the original parts
retainer clips have to be transferred from the stock bezel, other than that it's all good

customer service sent me those pics
she said "oh, it's in the video i sent you"... i watched the videos again and nope, that was not in there, video was only about programming the buttons on the left of the screen...

 

Yes,

1-the technician had to cut and splicing Some wires to make unit work. However other 2001-2006 had no cut or splice wires. And unit works great .

2-,some functions aren't working , radio app etc ,

3- orginal car fm radi,cd still working background when I play music or video on unit apps.


4-Front R&L speakers aren't working and instead of them R&L tweeter speakers working .


Any idea ?

 

Regarding #2 & #3, have you tried looking at the default functions in "settings"/"car settings"/"extra settings"? There are options in there that you can check and your FM radio app will not work while "original car" (useless) FM tuner still works
Maybe you can find the answer to #4 in there as well as I saw something in the settings about selecting individual doors

 

For unit built-in fm radio app is showing, however it isn't working means it opens but no sound comes out and anttena cable is already plugged in. When I go sttings and checked No Radio , the fm app is disappeared.


For front R&L speakers I found as you said doors, they were all unchecked and I checked them all but still front speakers aren't working.

Ok, I was just making sure you knew about the "extra settings" options

And, to eliminate the obvious, you checked your equalizer's zone setting to make sure it's not just faded to the rear speakers all the way?

 

Yes I know about extra settings..

And for equ zone it's now in balance position and tried to put front right or left speakers but only tweeters speakers are working only ..

 

I'm going to hold off my install until my antenna adapter gets here.

This is the one I got. Looks like it's going to work. I should probably pull my unit out of the box and look at the plugs haha

 

Looks like this adapter plugs into the smaller plug of the stock CD changer, hopefully no other functions will be lost. Keep us posted on how it works out, please.

 

I have added the connectors onto the factory electrical schematic for your reference... The wire color and pin-out may be helpful in identifying function of each wire. This drawing is for a 2004-2006 LS430.

 

For those who are working on a 2001-2003 LS430, here is the drawing with connector pin-out... The factory drawing abbreviates the names (e.g. S28, S29, etc.) of the connectors to alphabets (e.g. A, B, etc.), and identifies the pin number for each wire on that particular connector.
