How do I do that? I looked for calibrating option but did not see it

 

Asking the "engineers" to diagnose this problem. And provide a remedy.

 

Engineer responded and mentioned it was strange. It was suggested to use settings to reset. I asked for a video and they are said to be working on it. Will post when I have more.

 

I tried the "reset" button that's just above the power button - no luck...
There is an option for "factory reset", but it says that it will erase all "third party" apps. I didnt want to risk it since I dont know if all the Lexus related stuff in there is third party or not so I didnt do it.

I also asked my sales rep about the touchscreen issue and we're "waiting for "engeneers"" as well...

 

Good call. I was told doing that would make some of the machines functions unusable.

it might be connection is different between models.

 

I did "factory reset" before and I faced Bluetooth became not working and original launcher is disappeared , however all other functions works fine no missing any apps or function,

Later on after doing some search I found that I have to uncheck both Bc6 and Bc8 in car sitting\extra sitting with password 123456 ,then confi something like that I really don't remember for steps , but there is a list to check and check ,for me to make Bluetooth work I unchecked Bc6 and Bc8,

I recently replaced the head unit in my Mercedes GL with an aftermarket 9" screen radio that looks and acts very much like this, it came from a company called AVINUSA.com, they too did not supply any type of installation instructions and I had to rely on those who previously installed the unit. Does this unit supply any adapters in order to keep the stock reverse camera? How does your phones BT connect to this new headunit? GPS adapter? Here are a few things that I encountered.

1. system was $389 BUT, since I had the Harmon Kardon system I had to buy the $100 MOST fiber optic adapter
2. they supplied an connector adapter to connect to the stock back up camera in order for it to work,
3. they supplied an Fakra connector adapter to connect to the stock radio antenna which didn't work, had to locate the antenna for SIRIUS and ordered a 15' fakra adapter to plug into the SIRIUS antenna and run to the back of the new head unit in order to get any type of reception,
4. even though some did, I was never able to get my Bluetooth to work so, I have to put my phone on speaker in order to hear a call
5. the sound is much better then the stock system, gained a 11 level equalizer so, I can definitely adjust the sound of the system much better than the 3 level equalizer tha came with the stock COMAND system
6. lost some functions of the COMAND system that comes stock like navigation, no longer able to adjust the stock clock, had to use 3rd party apps from Google PlayStore which, is light years superior to stock nav anyway.
7. I use my phones hotspot so I have access to anything that my phone/laptop can access, hopefully your provider has unlimited hotspot BUT, sometimes the headunit's wifi doesn't turn on right away so, I literally have to wait until I'm driving before I can connect, and sometimes the headunit picks up my phones hotspot immediately. Go figure, I just live with it.
8. AVINUSA's customer service sucks at best, for me anyway. After contacting them more than twice, they told me to send it back BUT, they would only accept it with the original packaging, wire ties, Styrofoam etc., I had to laugh at that
9. they also supplied me with 3 USB adapters

In my opinion, even though these units make the interior look more updated, the companies that are producing these units need to work a little harder on the quality and supply installation instructions, or at least supply a link to some type of installation instructions. All of this being said, if those of you that have installed this headunit figure out these kinks/issues, I would definitely install this into my car.

I will try it later on today and report back

 

Recalibrated the buttons. The screen still responds in backwards way...

 

lol these people don't know using middle finger is bad here in US

 

fixed the screen calibration, it's a "position" option in the button config menu...




so it's back to "normal" now, whew...

 

1-Anyone have audio plugs wiring diagram of 2004-2006?

2- Or anyone can tell us the different audio wiring diagram betweeen 2002 and 2006?

3- Is there any different of audio wiring diagram between normal models and Ultra models which have oem phone system ?

 

What is the fit and quality feeling of the plastic frame?
