looks like i cant have 2 units at same time... i want new top unit... so im going to take out old bottom one.... but leave it in to fill hole... then need to connect new unit to cables that are on original loop ?... i got power to unit... at the moment cant get audio to work ?... thanks
you have to have the stock stereo/CD changer in your car, the Android unit plugs into the stock CD changer harness AND into the CD changer itself and that's what gets you the power
thank you guys for the replies I totally forgot about the RCA's that have to go into the auxiliary end
All works great now this is the cable I ordered for connecting the OEM GPS antenna to this Android unit
The one end is going to be: SMA male - GT5-1S female
I'm 99% sure that this is the correct Spec's I'll let you all know once it comes in a few days I ordered it on eBay
I ordered a 6-inch version of the cable ( apparently the guy on eBay who sells them has 2", 6", 12", Etc
even the 2-inch version would probably be long enough since the OEM GPS antenna has about 5 or 6 in right to the back of the Android unit
Keep u posted
Next step is to run the wire harness through the back and under the air vents and to buy a USB DAC that works with Android since my whole goal really was to have Google Maps and an aftermarket sq audio system
Isbe taken out the bs "audiophile" Mark Levinson amp /navi and oem speakers soon
I have power without having the stock unit in... all im missing is audio.... the stock wiring has been changed to accommodate the first replacement for the cd changer and radio.... the last thing i want to put back in is the stock stuff... the game has moved on some what... and thats like going back to my vhs player.... just need to sort audio feeds and all will be cool... but will also see if i can get the other android unit working so i have 2... one for entertainment and 1 for directions and such.... thanks
so gues what bit i just had to get on ebay as i cant find the original... another £40 spent... i want to take out the radio and cassete... but of course i cant... is the radio acting as the amp ?... thought the pad had one built in ?.... still got to do a few things... rear camera to sort.... anyone with real time route of guide would be very handy... and cant seem to get gps working even though i have the antenna that came with unit screwed in.... also need to tighten up the trim refit as edges are not as tight as you would want ?.... but i got sound and vision..... thaks fellas for all the help on here.
2004-2006 Ls430 oem gps antenna located dead center inside dash /right behind oem screen... Disconnect plug to the right 2004-2006 Ls430 oem gps antenna plug antenna plug= square male
Thank you....
And here is another picture of our Factory OEM antenna location and the connector
I will have some time today to find the appropriate adapter that we need / will fit between the oem antenna, that's already sitting where it needs to be/ under the dash and the new Android unit
we need female Square on one end ( plugs into the factory GPS antenna) and a male round on the other end (plugs nto the Android unit)
I know im being think here... is it plugged into a block or loose ?

Reason: adding
the one thing i still want to do chaps is replace the factory radio and changer for a extra android screen that will do the amp work that the radio is doing ? ... anyone have ideas ? ... thanks
Hey guys so here is the update with that adapter cable that I ordered that goes between the Android and the factory GPS antenna
You have to make a slight modification which takes about half a minute with a file you just have to grind down a little bit of the plastic..... because the Toyota plug is just slightly different but it works fine afterwards here's some pictures
( if you don't grind it down the fit will be too tight and you won't be able to plug it in)
As far as the beeps I'm not sure what you're talking about but maybe in the one of the menus you can turn that off
And completely removing the CD changer I don't think it work because it is the integral part off the system if you remove it I'm not sure how much the car will like that... So who knows?
most likely you will throw up some errors and fault codes I unplugging the cable and I got all kinds of errors but this was still with the factory screen
when I turn my car on there is one beep and that's it when's the radio powers on
When exactly do these beeps happen? and how often and do they keep beeping???
Any warnings on the screen or your dashboard?
The beeps are heard when I turn on the ignition switch. There are total 4 beeps that seemingly come out from the android screen. The first one follows by a brief pause and then goes the other three. And there are no warnings on the dashboard or the screen.
