Did that completely solve it? I downloaded fdroid just in case the Google play store would have some issues. I use New pipe to download YouTube videos...just need to connect the file they are downloaded to where the unit finds the videos.

 

Yeah, it seems to have fixed it. I was able to purchase an app after the reset. It is a really old version of the play store. I tried to update it. It looked like it did, but when I checked the version number it was still an old version. I didn't check the version number before the update, so I don't know if it changed or not. Definitely wasn't the new version.

 

I had some issues similar. It continued to tell me to update the Google play in order for the app to work.

 

I did not connect the GPS wire as I thought I would not need it. But apps cannot find my location even with location on. Did anyone connect the GPS wire and not having an issue?

 

For me, I located the antenna of GPS beside OEM GPS antenna which is behind the unit and connect the wire to the unit and works great.

GPS antenna must be connected to communicate GPS signal.

 

I did factory reset but orginal wallpaper didn't came back.
Is there any method to make it back ?

 

I'm sure it's just a file on the system...just locate it and assign it as wallpaper again. You can also download "live" wallpapers which move in different ways and forms.

 

Yeah, you will have to find it on the tablet or download it from somewhere. I had changed it anyway, so that wasn't an issue for me.

GPS antenna seems to work fine for me. I just need to find the iGo map for the US.

 

Has anyone tried changing the launcher? The stock one is clunky, and you can't change apps in the launch bar. I was able to change the Navi launcher to any app, but you can't do that with the music launcher.

I was thinking of trying either Nova Launcher (which I use on my phone), or trying one of the car launcher apps that look pretty cool.

I tried the adjustment for the music I couldn't get it either. Waze does not work well with mine, often freezes. Maybe the launch system? If you do try it please share your experience.

 

I changed the launcher to nova launcher, as it is what I'm used to. Not as slick as some of the car launchers, but much better than the stock one. I can't get the dock to be at the bottom of the screen, just the side, so I ditched it. Don't really need it.

Has anyone tried to connect anything besides a phone to Bluetooth? I have a Bluetooth OBD device I wanted to use with the torque app, but can't get it to pair. Works great on my phone, but I would like to run it on the android device.

can you please confirm... do the steering wheel controls work 100% volume up and down does that work with the main volume?... this is my main concern

Yes to all on my 02. Even in bluetooth mode. My voice command did not work when I attempted, but did not use it anyways. Most apps, programs have that option if desired. I have kids so no command is ever clearly heard.
