Default daylight running light upgrade?

Did some light searching with no real answer. I do not like the yellow/tired look of the daylight running lights on my car, can I upgrade to something different, if so what is a suggestion? What kind of bulb is it? Thanks.

Your driving lights are your high beams at half wattage; that is the reason they look like that. The reasoning for using the high beams is that they are more in line with your vision when you are driving and should be easier for others to see you. Nothing other than changing to LED's will help this condition, no other brighter bulbs will help because the electronics take the watts out of this light circuit when the lights are turned off. You could, if you wanted to, run your lights on all the time, using those nice HID's or see if you can get the drl's turned off. Many will disagree with turning them off because of safety issues, but I dont necessarily agree with this argument.
If you choose to use LED's as the other poster did and showed you, you will not, repeat,, will not, have working high beam lights again because the LED's are not designed to be as bright as the high beam bulb that will have to be removed to use the LED configuration. Its a pain, but more vehicles are coming out with DRL's now, and perhaps it may be a law in some states..
Good luck with this.. DanF

Change out your high beams to LEDS to get pure white/whitish blue DRLS! VLEDS or PIAA's

I thought I read somewhere that the LED High Beam bulbs would keep turning on and off when used for DRL's on the 2GS due to the reduced voltage, can anyone confirm that these LED 9005's will NOT have this issue? If they don't I am ordering a set right away.

For that reason, VLEDs came out with this module that corrects that problem providing full power to them. Here's a link to it.

BTW, I started a thread in the 2IS forum on this. Search LED flicker solution if you want more info.
