Default Any experience with Piaa 8000K blubs?

Hello,
Anyone tried Piaa 8000K bulbs? I'm thinking about trying them as my high beems/DRL...I'm mainly looking for an alternative to LED's for my DRL's. I don't want to lose the hight beam function by replacing the filement 9005's with LED's. However I wanted the DRL to be a bit whiter than the stock yellowish color, so Ive been looking at the Piaa 8000K to give me the whiter DRL look I'm looking for, without sacrificing the high beam function. Thanks...

they are really good light bulbs. but i wouldnt recommend using them as drl. i used them in my mom camry with the lows/highs together with the drl. it faded out the color quickly and finally killed off the bulb. i think the bulb lasted probably a year, before they went out. which was shocking because the stock ones last way longer. but piaa are reputable company i like their bulbs, just not used as drls.

8k are anything but white! go with 4300K or 5000K for a nice white look

Please keep in mind that if these bulbs are also going to be the DRL's, then how matter what you get its going to run at half power and still look like the originals, not much different at all. That is why some people go to LED's for the hight beam but lose the intended purpose of the high beam in the process.
Probably only way to get past the yellow DRL is to turn on your low beam HID's. Perhaps someone can figure out a way to turn on your low beam lights and not turn on your tail lights, but still leave you the option of turning on all of your lights with another click, etc. of the control..
Good luck with this.
