Brakes
squeal or not, free brakes for all!!! just go in there and get' it boys! If they say how come it doesnt squeal, say oh it only happens on a full moon when mercury is in retrograde. Customers always right
i've NEVER worn out a set of brake pads in all the years i've owned cars. i guess i'm easy on brakes!
The Less dusty less performance oriented pads were introduced for the LC as a TSB in 2018. These were intended for owners who did not appreciate the more aggressive nature of the stock pads and who complained about the dust and noise of the OEM pads. Unfortunately they have become the stock pads on the 2021 and later LC in the Base and Touring iterations. The Sport and the DHP both soldier on with the original Hi-Po pads. Apparently a lot of LC owners don't know how to properly bed-in brake pads.
thanks sickpuppy. since i have dynamic handling pkg on '21 i guess i have the high performance pads. no squeal thankfully. they do dust quite a bit but nothing a pressure washer can't quickly remove.
I got my rotors here: https://ceika-store.com/
They are drop in OEM fitment but they were made to order so they took a few months. But with free shipping and a great price, I could not complain. Very happy with them

They used to make a rear rotor. I actually ordered it from the store but then they emailed me and told me they had some production issue with it and refunded me. Guess they took it off their store as well
You guys should check out Lüften brakes. One of our members had them installed and seemed to be happy with them. He then switched to a big Brembo brake kit, but apparently only because he wanted Brembo brakes.

I'd be willing to try and get a group buy from these guys and see if we can get a discount.

Officially getting rid of the LC 500, after multiple attempts (6x) to try to get the brake squealing fixed, numerous attempts at resolving something with the GM, and also speaking to Lexus directly. They were unable to fix or find a resolution to my situation. The brake squealing is unacceptable, and the responses I got were beyond ridiculous. I hired a Lemon Law attorney, but due to the brakes technically working properly, they also could not do anything either. So therefore, just have to count this one as a loss on the board. Hopefully in the coming weeks, I shall be trading it in for an 2018 R8 V10+ or a 17 McLaren 570S. Anyone considering an LC 500 please be aware that this issue isn't new, as I have several friends who have RC-F's and GS-F's who have been complaining about the same issues, and the problem is that Lexus has yet to address these issues in a positive manner. Its like all the service techs are trained to say "youre driving the car too hard". It has to be the dumbest answer I have ever received when regarding service issues. This aint my first GT car, sports car or luxury car, the noise is NOT NORMAL. If you want to drive up to any sort of venue, with people talking more about the noise your brakes are making, rather than the looks of the car, buy this car. If not, stay away. The car is beautiful, it drives amazing, sounds great, interior is A++, exterior gets a lot of great reaction, BUT.. The brakes sadly are ****.. Good luck to all my LC brothers!
