@CrossTownTraffic is right glossy stainless exhaust tips will look awesome on a contrast with black surrounding. When tips surrounded by chrome they are visually lost.
I'm not wanting the tips to be a main player here. Being somewhat visually lost, just works fore me. All I wanted was a slight peek, that a quad exhaust does exist.
Wondering if the vapor drip from the extended tips will have a negative effect on chrome.
I contemplated this very thing. If it happens and takes several years, I will just replace surrounds with new ones. If it happens far more frequently, I might consider the blackout option that CrossTown and microsup are suggesting.

Hey Timado404 - Why did you decide to go with the clamps instead of the cement?
I just wanted to keep some flexibility within the project... That particular cement is permanent, It works great. If you don't want the hassle of installing the clamps, a small dab of high temp RTV would work just the same. It will hold the tips in place but will also allow the ability to remove them.
The only time you can see the clamps is if you get on the ground, right behind the car and look straight into the exhaust. So no, I didn't paint them. Actually thinking that a high temp coat of black paint would make a nice look as well ...
It's been 2 weeks since the installation of my exhaust tips. Just wanted to share a pic of the discoloration, so far.
Wow, the discoloration is significant IMO, especially after a mere 2 weeks. I figured stainless steel would not discolor at all or at worse, only slightly. Can you post another picture after a month or so? I'm wondering if it will continue to discolor as time passes, or if this is the worse it will get. Thanks for sharing!
Im not sure if it's the resolution on my screen, but the outboard pipe seems more discolored than the inboard pipe. How is it in person?

You're very welcome. I will post another pic in some more weeks. I think this is close to as far as it's going to discolor if any more, at all. I personally like the contrast it has with the exhaust surrounds. 👍🏾

I understand, maybe it's not as bad seeing it in-person. I have all the parts, I was just waiting for warmer days to do the install.
