Thanks for the pics AzNLeX. So there was no improvement on replacement on the reverse light at all? Kind of sucks since its a cheap and easy mod that could have really helped.

Llama, I sw those and was considering them but even the first ones seems a bit wider and longer. The description also says that some mod might have to be done so I wasn't so sure. If you could be a guinea pig and try, I would appreciate it. j/k.

I do understand the safety issue, but since I tinted my windows, the reverse light is not visible at all so I am looking to improve it. But if it looks good at the same time, why not kill two birds with one stone.

Its a safety issue, not just for you (the driver), has to do with old ladies walking/driving behind your car, you want ppl to clearly understand that your backing up. Not I watch my car.... no... THEY have to watch my car

I just got vled's flank blue led for my clear doors. Its actually bluer in person, taking a pic of led's doesnt really show the true color.

He used this lights:

I just did that mod too to match the illuminated scuff plates. The blue on the door is a lot brighter.

The bulb is pretty easy to change. Once you remove the light assembly, unplug it. You can remove the housing cover and then just pull the OEM bulbs out and replace with the new one.

Np, no to me there wasn't any improvement. My windows are tinted too and you're right, you can't see reversing at night. I usually have to roll down my windows to see.

Those anyone have pics of the rear Lexus LED lic plate bulbs????

just curious as to what they look like..

Also, has anyone replaced the Side view mirrors with the same bulbs from the rear??

or

Has anyone researched the LED bulbs on the GS350 / GS460 etc..

Seems like the IS was the only one to get reg bulbs in the side mirros.

EDIT: GO TO POST #43 TO FIND AN EASIER WAY TO CHANGE THE MIRROR LIGHTS THAN BELOW!!!!-here- https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...6&postcount=43

top right corner screw in pass mirror

the back of the mirror should pop off, i used a credit card to help

the bulb is inside the housing

. just twist and pull out its a reg194 bulb

the finished product
I need help with the side mirrors. Do I only need to remove that screw?? Ive taken the mirror off like some suggested and I saw 4 screws. Now the top left & right come off easy and so does the bottom right but on BOTH mirrors the screw closer to the door does not come undone for some odd reason. Any ideas?

I just did my front dome light and the back dome light. To take off the front unit, it does require a hard tug on the ends closest to the on/off and door buttons (as mentioned several times in this post already)

For the bulbs, I use a regular (non-LED) bulb from MTEC.
Front: http://www.automotivelightingusa.com...oducts_id=1021
Rear: http://www.automotivelightingusa.com...oducts_id=1022

Vendor is superb.
Front lights has good brightness, and color matched exactly with the LED reading lights
Rear lights has very good brightness, but color still has slight yellow/greenish hue, and it does not match the LED reading lights very good, but I am quite satisfied.

Ok... center console... thats alot of work with mm sized led's and a sodering iron... only if your a true 'build your own circuit board' kinda nerd should you attempt this. The stock footwell leds are fine for me.

Thanks.
