Default Auto dimming side mirrors

Anyone know if the Auto dimming side mirrors are adjustable or if it can be turn on and off. My side mirrors in the GS doesnt seem to dim as much as my loaner GS.

it should work accordingly with the rear view mirror. as long as the auto button is on, it should work

there is no adjustment as far as i know

Thank rominl, the green light on the mirror is on so I assume its in auto. MAybe its the new side mirrors on the 08, they dont seem to dim as much as the 07.

if you have tinted windows, it may be affecting it....if rearview sees less light, then it does not dim as much.....(applies for side too)

if you smoke or the inside is heavy dusty, you might want to clean the sensor on the mirror? remember, theres one on the front and on the back I believe.

I dont smoke in the car and my GS is only 2 weeks old, so no built up of any kind. Anyone with an 08 GS notice the side mirror dimming much?

^^ same here, i don't like autodim, dims too much for my taste. I am glad i can turn it off unlike bmw's

you can't tun it off on bimmer? that sux... that's always the first thing i do (turn off) when i start the car. like you said, way too dim. i want to be able to tell cops from behind from their headlights

all we get is a sensor on the rear view mirror.
