Sounds like a possible regulator. Does the window go down real slow when you let it down? If you used both switches drivers side and passengers side there is either a motor or regulator issue. Where in Florida do you live?

Do i need a new switch? a new window regulator? cant figure it out.Anyone have any ideas? thank you.

im not 100% sure on lexus.but the motors have only two wires.when you put postive to one and ground the other it goes up.when you reverse them it goes down.so it could be the motor.unless you could find someone with a gs and could test it by using they're switch.

heres a question for the lexus/toyota certified techs on here

driving up to the dyno this past friday , my harness on drivers front wheel the contains the wire that plugs into the wheel speed sensor for abs system had dropped down and rubbed on the tire all the way up to west palm beach.. needless to say my abs light came on and it disabled my abs system because it broke the connection to drivers side front sensor

the wire that plugs into the sensor is a shielded wire meaning theres a braid of stainless steel wrapped around a purple wire and green wire then all is covered with the plastic sheathing

how do i repair that connection .. can one of you guys look into your books and see if further up somewhere in the harness is there a plug whereby i can unplug that run of wire connection or is that a specified splice point according to manuel that i need to be aware of

and final question , once wire has been repaired how to i reset abs warning light .. will it automatically shut off , do i have to remove negative terminal on battery to reset or what

If the key that you bought doesn't have the electronic guts inside you need to transfer them from the old key to the new one. The ECU shouldn't need to be reprogrammed because lock cylinder just has a connector that goes right into the back of it. It should plug right into it. If you lost the master key and bought a new one with the guts the ecu would either need to be reprogrammed or replaced. The newest vehicles I know for sure can just be reprogrammed. The dealer would have the only tool to reprogram the ECU. Can you post pics of the key be chance? Can you give exact info on the key?
