To be serious for once you will need either a 02 simulator,02 sensor extension to reduce oxygen flow over the sensor, buy a high flow cat,or change your engine management to a stand alone. Did you do any research before taking a hammer and a rod to the cat internals? Since you removed the the functioning pieces of the cats that burn up the NOX gas and other gases your sensor will read that gas and set off the light. The light will keep coming on since it senses it reading high flow or high voltage indicating excess NOX gas. Your gas mileage will plummet and you car will run in limp in mode ,which is stock settings if a emissions error code is triggered. For the love of god don't take out the bulb that is just stupidity.

hey CL guys im trying to get something clear if anyone can help me out.with the whole rods that SC's and supras share.here is the 411 i got from the dealers.
Lexus SC300
08-91 to 09-96
Rod part # 13201-46040
97-up
Rod part # 13201-46060

97 Toyota Supra TT
Rod part # 13403-47040
97 Toyota Supra NA
Rod part # 13201-46040

so from i gathered the only rods that lexus share with supra's is on the NA supra with 92-96 lexus.

you can just get a set of eagle rods for 450 from titan and thats better than anything oem and from what I understand you can swap all rods between all GTE and GE engines including VVTi but the material and the way they are made are what differ so you wouldnt want to get the weaker ones ovbiously

the think is that somebody in the group said that the older lexus had the same rods as the tt supra.so i called the dealer to make sure.cuz somebody in the group also said that i have the weaker ones cuz im VVTIi.being it im a 98.but the 97 have the same rods.and remember Ed has a 97 and he is on boost with no problem.

97 is the 98+. It's the production date, not the model year.

If I am not mistaken Ed's is a 97 but non vvti GE as in ur 98 u got the VVTi GE so yea you got blessed with the crappy rods but if ur gonna upgrade ur bottom end anything that fits a GTE block you can use in urs with some maching though.
