Nothing related to the valve spring issue that is bad castings of the valve springs and they break leading to a valve dropping and hitting your piston. How many miles are on the car?

Uh first off you are in the wrong section. You need to go to the northern section of the country that or go to your specific vehicles section and ask that. It might be a matter of occurrence that the starting issue happened and might be something mechanical that broke.

here is my question. even tho im still searching the board, i just completed my swap. so far i had to move the blue/yellow tracer wire to a different spot from the orange plug to the white plug to get the check engine light to power on. so i could start it.

but now i need to figure out how to get it to start from the key vs. starting it from the starter relay in the fusebox.

^^^ There are updates that happen periodically related to engine computers and transmission shifting concerns with customers. You would have to get your vin # checked that or hook a lexus scan tool to check if it needs a update. You may just need a induction service done. It could be a couple things ,but it is better to have the car to drive lol. Let me know how it works out for you.

Might sound silly, but did you try disconnecting the battery to reset your ecu . . Good luck

Take the piercing out and clean the area and try using a band aid.. LOL ..

Pads might be totally gone or try adjusting them. If neither are the case you have a busted cable.. Good luck

I have a tech question its about my highbeams for a 96 gs300
(The lever im talking about is the turn signal lol dont know what else to call it)

Ever since ive bought the car my high beams only work when you pull the lever forward you know like when you flash somebody my highbeams + my low beams come on im not sure if thats normal and would like for just my highbeams to come on

and also when you push the lever away from you and lock it to keep the high beams on they dont come on at all and I dont know why

If anybody has some quick trouble shoots it would be greatly appreciated I just bought some yellow bulbs and would love to use them during the day i cant keep my highbeams on thanks in advance

I have a serious issue with my 95 SC400. Right now I am on stock suspension. I noticed my left side was leaning, I really didnt notice it until I put my 19inch rims on the car. The lean really ate up my left rear tire so I got the fenders rolled and ended up replacing struts and springs on both side of the rear. still the car is leaning. I had my mechanic look up under the car no frame damage, and the sway bar is good. what could be the problem? I went as far as buying clamps for the springs. I figured I would clamp down the right side so it would be even with the left and for some strange reason it made the left side go down further. Ultimately I put my stock wheels back on. Until I get this figured out. Someone told me just to buy coilovers I dont wanna do that until I get this fixed.
Please help!

Last week I had both the tilt and telescopic motors replaced in the steering column on my 2002 LS 430. When I picked up the car after the repairs were made there was a lot of play in the steering column. Up and down, side to side. It moves at least a 1/4" in all directions. The mechanic said it had to be that way when I brought it in. He said this is common. I told him I live in the car, 296,000 miles, and there is no way I would not have noticed it. I notice every rattle and tick.

He took the cover off the column and showed me a universal joint about 5" below the wheel. There was some play in it that he said that it was the issue. They said they would order a set of shims to tighten it up, but if the holes were to worn they would need to put it back together the way it was or replace the tube in the column at $1300. Didn't really adress the side to side movement.

What could be causing this new condition?

You might need to set the memory settings on the car since the battery power was lost. You might have a problem also with your motor in the steering column. The gear that also controls it might have popped off ,but if neither position is working look back the 2 things I mentioned first.

As mentioned before the brake shoes inside the discs could be all worn down. The cable could be broken. Th cable could be out of adjustment all the way up to the handle or it could be disconnected from the handle itself.

Sounds like the multi function turn switch might need to be replaced cause you have power going to the flash circuit and not when its down all the time there is most likely a contact issue in the switch.
