As for ICE, the "sports" version usually have different suspension/brake/handling/appearance... I was referring to those things. So basically they all drive the same except the fastness/how long and... the badge in the rear. In a different thread, some were talking about the M versions are not as exclusive for the money difference but to think about it in comparison to Tesla, Tesla owners seem to care just the inside. I guess if they are never different to begin with, they don't seem to bother. On Tesla forums, do they wish they could have more extra features/options for the money? Like... front frameless option?
The S and X, both Plaid and Long Range versions have Air suspension, and I think they now come with bigger brakes, but @ST430 can probably verify the bigger brakes and rotors. The M3, M3P and Y models don't have the air suspension options from the factory
I really have no idea what you're talking about or where ur going with this?
The Plaid is its own model with essentially a new motor (3 in fact vs 2). The tech and power alone is substantial like double the power 500 vs 1000.
If you want to parallel the m340i which has 389hp stock...it would be like have a M3 CSL+++++++++, as its more than a standard M3 (470), a M3 competition (500), and CSL model (540).
No one who owns a plaid I know of wishes more to differentiate it from the 95k standard model. The extra $20k is worth it for the power alone. It is the fastest production car available. Sure, it would be nice to have fancier interior, but I certainly wouldn't pay for it.
Plaid owners are a very specific type of people: power first, everything else is 2nd.

Pardon my ignorance, besides speed/range and the yoke, what else is different in a plaid?
Yoke isn't a Plaid-specific thing. It's a no-cost option on Long Range and Plaid, round wheel is standard now. Previously when no round wheel was offered, the yoke was standard on all Model Xs.

Looks awesome, congrats! Is that the new rear badging setup without the T?
No, this is still pre HW4, but maybe I should take off the rear badging?! 👀👀😁

No new brakes or rotors, just a change in brake pads and a new caliper cover apparently. When the updated specs of the newer Plaid was announced they said it had higher thermal brake calipers but then changed it to higher thermal brake pads. Typical Tesla changing things on the specs and no one knows what is true until you get your car.

Do you know if the higher thermal brake pads actually make a difference?
I didn’t watch or listen but it seemed like not much was said as far as HW4. Oh well you got a heck of a deal on a good color combination that was a “demo” model that was never actually driven. Did you confirm it has carbon fiber interior?
Was to pick her up, but Tesla called beforehand and said they found a small scratch and wanted to take more time to buff it out.
Went to look at it and it's hardly noticeable unless you look specifically for it at certain angles. Glad they're taking care of it nonetheless so maybe another day or 2.
But oh boy this arrest me red glows in the sunlight, jeez. Will need to be careful with my lead foot now....
