I know, my partner wants the Model X LR instead but I think I prefer the S for it's better looks, better aero, more range, and cheaper price. It feels like a good value at the new prices. I don't know if I feel like the MX is worth it/enough of a value for me especially because I don't really love the looks of it and I've never seen one that had window trim and door handles that line up well so I don't want to deal with that at all.

My other big issue with the MX is I would really heavily prefer the 6 seater which further drives up the price AND (the worst part) makes it so that the 2nd row can't fold down. At that point I feel like a MS might have more practicality and cargo room for us.

And I also just find this so sexy, we'd order it like this in black with the upgraded wheels:
I see you have an i7, are you ditching that for a Model S?

We'd be swapping out our Model Y for the Model S. We haven't taken delivery of the i7 yet. We had to custom order since we couldn't find one with the options and color combo we wanted. The original plan was to have one sedan and one SUV, but we're not loving our Model Y so much these days and really enjoyed the Model S on a recent test drive.

I'm a little nervous to have 2 sedans but I'm hoping the cargo space in the Model S will be enough since it's a hatchback. Tesla says the Model Y with the 2nd row folded flat has 72.1 cu ft of space. Model S with 2nd row folded flat has 61.4 cu ft. I'm hopeful it'll work for us.

I don't really see the point in having two sedans in general, but at least the Model S is a hatch with seats that fold so it has some degree of utility

Have you thought about an iX and model S combo? Ix is a good SUV, thought not as luxurious (or as pricey) as the i7 admittedly.

I've heard really great things about the way the iX drives but it's never excited me in any particular way. I've never warmed up to the interior or exterior. It doesn't do it for me in the way the i7 does. I love the interior and the exterior of the i7 (including how damn big it is) and I love how polarizing and divisive the styling is, it reminds me of my old GS And I'm damn excited for that theatre screen

Also @ST430 what's happening with your car? Still thinking of getting another Model S in a different color?

I test drove the i7 and it was nice and in black it looked pretty good. I just felt like I got out of a club when I stepped out of the car. So much different than a Model S when you get inside.

It's worse when yours is an X5. It drained out the little excitement I had to test drive it. But there are X5 owners who highly speak about this thing, everything but the design. Lol.

Even though the styling is a little "unique", the iX would still be at or near the top of my list if I were going EV. The frame is almost entirely ultra-rigid CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer), which gives it tight handling and should keep it squeak-free for a very long time. Very interesting to see that type of construction in a non-supercar. The range is pretty solid, it charges quickly, the M60 is damn quick, and several reviewers have reported it has one of, if not THE best sounding audio systems in any vehicle currently for sale.

I've heard the same about the audio system and that it's even a little better than the i7's. I forget about the use of CFRP in the iX, it's like a bigger i3. That's really cool. I'm not sure if the latest generation of 7-Series/i7 has any use of CFRP but I know the previous generation did use some in the B-pillar area if I remember correctly.

99% sure I'm going to get an identical model s at this point, unless something drastically changed in the market. I thought about white, but it just doesnt looks as stealthy, yet sinister as the grey...

Excellent choice!👍 My favorite color.

Were the wheels also screwed up in the accident ?
