I just did the same thing lol, $3K in the US. Looks like it replaced the old red...

 

I would just stick with the current red he ordered and save the $3K

 

Old red was a $2.5K option I believe. 'Only' a $500 difference between the two

 

There are other discounts he's getting on the inventory car worth $10.5k. No point in ordering a new one with this color - not worth it IMO

 

I totally, 100 percent agree

 

Test drove the X for 1+ hour (while on a concall). It handled better than I thought it would, but 2 things were a deal breaker:

1) middle seat not going down, invalidates the larger cargo space vs my present Model Y

2) Falcon doors don't have any presence sensor so it hit me when I tested it my 6 year old son would be ok with it. Worries me a bit.

So after seemingly a month of deliberation, and even with HW4 released and Uktra Red today, I picked up my Model S anyways and felt like home again!

Thank you all for the inputs and putting up with my indecisiveness! Off to the tint shop and then wheels right after!

Tomorrow the rain is going to be worse, we are expecting "Atmospheric rivers" in the Bay area starting tomorrow. My daughter is scheduled for a test drive of the Bolt tomorrow, if it's too bad we may need to reschedule
