If you like the EQS you must be a big fan of the Ford Focus sedan, older Civic sedan, and Chrysler 200 because those are the cars it resembles/looks like. It looks nothing like a luxury car or Mercedes.

I did a image search on the EQS and saw where they mostly show pics of the concept car now which did not happen weeks ago, there are hardly any pictures of the production car, wonder if Mercedes is trying to hide the images of the production car now.

After seeing this car in person, I still think the proportions are off which is unfortunate. It does look expensive though so at least it has that going for it.

Lol easy on the conspiracy theories. Why would they hide their production car which they're trotting out to every car show possible? They even carried one around with a helicopter.

I did do a google image search of "mercedes eqs" just out of curiosity and the production car came up almost exclusively on the first page, which makes sense given all of the recent first drives.

I think it looks great. Can't match the Tesla for performance, the Tesla can't match the EQS for luxury, quality, prestige and presence - which is what EQS buyers will be more interested in.

Solid alternative to the excellent S Class. I think it will do well.

Its all just opinions, but its not an isolated opinion. If you watch a lot of the reviews of the EQS and the new S Class, which invariably tend to mention the EQS they bring up negative opinions about the EQS' styling. I think making it look so odd was a huge mistake on MB's part. I would hate to see low adoption of that car be taken as an example that there is no market for such an EV luxury car because thats really not the case.

Some people may find it attractive, but with so much negative feedback out there about it's styling its hard to make an argument that it's styling is a success. For instance...you very rarely find someone calling an S Class ugly...you see people calling the EQS ugly everywhere.

They had to design it around cheating the wind is the reason it's not very attractive IMO.

Somehow these other EV carmakers have made attractive cars. I don't buy that. I think MB is going for the geeky "technocar" look and I don't think its going to serve them well.

I'm willing to bet the next gen of the EQS will be anything but "blob-like".

I hope so! I'd love to buy one, the reviews sound right up my alley. But looking at it in that video next to the S Class, just no comparison.

I think they "imitated" the "wrong" kind of "Tesla first" (the stupid haptic touch buttons on the yoke, just for the sake of being "different" ), rather than serving any functional purpose with the design.

I agree, and I also find that frustrating.

Incredibly frustrating!! I was sooo looking forward to the EQS based on the incredibly stunning concept. I honestly don't understand how they went from the concept below to the production version. No resemblance whatsoever..

Maybe, but isn't this EQS supposed to have a 600 mile range? It may need every cheat it can get to achieve that.
