I think with Clarkson there is proof he is a total A Hole, he embraces it, he openly shows and admits it which I kind of admire. Most of the things he is attacked for I have no problem with, mainly just things he says but some others like hitting staff over dumb things or bullying is where I probably would not want to meet him or hang out with him much.

Funny thing is I have had several dreams about seeing those Top Gear guys, hanging out with them, talking to them. Last dream I had Clarkson was driving a hopped up WRX or EVO and I was in the passenger seat and we were driving down the road to our cottage at the beach while he was being opinionated about cars and driving real fast, he then saw someone he recognized from the UK driving the other way and waved and then he busted a u turn and followed him wondering why he didn't wave back. My dreams never make sense but the ones I have with them are always pretty cool and I just laugh when thinking about why I had a dream about them.

I totally admire that. I much prefer that to people pretending to be something they aren't.

Couldn't care less about Leno and other talk show hosts. But about that EQS...

What shocks me about this car is how it is supposedly about the same size as an S Class, yet looks like a compact in pictures. I think it's the odd proportions that's doing that.

I think the styling is just completely off. The interior is nice, and the powertrain is fine but not incredible. It's going to take a long time before this grows on me, if ever.

I think the interior features and aesthetics are incredible. The outside is odd looking but looks alright when moving. The powertrain is better than the S-class...i don't believe anyone that says a V8 is smoother than an EV...its just not and not even remotely close as an EV has no NVH whatsoever. When AMG comes out with the EQS, I hope it competes with the Plaid.

The proportions do make it look much smaller than it is I agree.

I look forward to seeing one in real life. Pictures can only tell so much.

Yeah, that "smaller in pictures than IRL" look is common on dedicated-platform EV's, because they have no overhangs and very long cabins. The Ioniq 5 and Jaguar I-Pace both look tiny but have the same wheelbase as SWB S-Class.

The Benz proportions are just off, and I think that boils down to that econobox cab-forward design rather than EV proportions. Generally cab-forward means more space, but judging from Rory's review the EQS doesn't seem any more roomy than the S-Class.

If everything seems to take Lettermans side...you have to ask yourself why that is lol. Like I said, Leno's a snake, I don't believe Letterman or Conan are. I don't think Howard Stern is either. Or Jimmy Kimmel. Where there's smoke theres fire.
Current late night hosts are totally unwatchable to me, not the least bit funny, I don't find their shows edgy at all, they are sanitized apologetic PC bore fests, being political is not a strength especially when they are all such cowards they only go after one side while defending the other, at least with Leno, Letterman, Carson they went after both sides and were funny about it.

Letterman is funnier, he built up a audience with his Late Night Show, of course more were going to take his side when Leno was mainly a guest host, a stand up comedian and did not build up much of a following.

Letterman has been accused of bullying staff, bullying guests not to go on Leno, even admitted to it, Letterman was cheating on his wife with young interns, not that I care. Stern is also accused of bullying staff, cheating on his first wife, he shut Artie Lange out of his life/show after Artie's attempted suicide and won't have him on after that, Stern totally changed after Marci Turk took over, he won't have several people on that were regulars/comedians because they are deemed too un PC, Stern now lies/denies about who he was in the past, what he said, pretends to be a PC guy now when he was the guy getting women naked on his show, putting naked girls over his lap, judging girls looks, saying so many un PC things which I had no problem with, I thought it was hilarious, but when he attacks/lectures others for things he did and even pushes for action to be taken against them, for them to be cancelled, etc I just shake my head, what a hypocrite. Some of Sterns staff get paid very little, they have issues affording living in NYC, the wackpackers he would have on his show were mostly poor, living in trailer parks, barely able to afford to live while Stern has hundreds of millions in the bank he keeps all to himself despite them contributing to the show, there is the whole situation with Scott the engineer and his wife and how Stern treated him and did not help him. Carson was accused of beating his wife and being a pretty miserable guy off the show, I don't really care about any of that just like I don't really care about accusations against Leno, Stern of all people though being the biggest critic of Leno and some others is just amazing though.

That is why so many dislike it, it and its proportions resembles a FWD econo car despite costing over 100K where a S class looks like a elegant, expensive luxury sedan. If they just made it look like the concept it would not be criticized for its looks. They don't need to cheat the wind on a car this expensive to eek out a little better range, people in this market want good looks over a little extra range. The Porsche and Audi EV sedans look good and don't have FWD econo car looks.

because you're so dogmatic and unopen to other points of view. it's your way or the highway.

you said doug demuro is not a reviewer. obviousy i disagree, but HE certainly disagrees too... check this search where he mentions an array of best, worst, surprising and other cars he says he's reviewed.

https://www.google.com/search?q=doug+demuro+review

it may not be the narrow definition of review you have, but to i'd say the majority of people, he's a reviewer.

and motorweek may be polite and nice, but they HAVE been REVIEWING cars for DECADES. maybe not your style, fine.

Comparing and contrasting those features and design with competitors or a critical assessment of a vehicle's attributes is a review.
the comparison part is your add, wasn't in the dictionary definition.

I would consider Raiti both a presenter and a reviewer, he does offer some opinions. Largely his videos are just presenting design elements of a vehicle though, describing the design of a vehicle from the outside "and you have this bumper that melds into the fender here and headlights" particularly annoying. I have eyes lol. What I want to know is what a reviewer thinks about aspects of a vehicle and how they compare to other vehicles in that segment, That to me is a review.
just because you find it annoying doesn't mean it's not a review. i just watched raiti's review of the new corolla cross where he mentions comparing the car to the rav4, the honda hr-v, subaru crosstrek or something... but i guess because he's not doing some in-depth comparison for you that's not a review.

You can call things whatever you want, but every car video is not a "review" IMO, lots of videos on YouTube including Jay Lenos aren't reviews.
knock yourself out with the hair splitting and equivocation.

This article discusses Jay Leno's, uh, video. Refers to it as a review numerous times.

One thing I noticed from watching the Leno video is…they stole Hyundai’s pop around cup holders from the Palisade lol. They are identical.
