Not only that, but he likes the Hemi. The Palisades are adequately powered with a nice NA V6 but not like that.
NA V8s are really fun because there's zero lag, I encourage people to check 5-60 times for a gauge of turbo lag. I imagine that Jeep is a hoot to stomp on.

And, get that V8 while you can.
I'm on the Jeep website trying to configure them so I can get a feel for options and respective pricing and I'm not seeing the Hemi offered on the Overland or the Summit...
Im honestly stunned you never drove one with the 8 lol! The on paper difference vs the 3.6 doesn't seem like much but the real world difference is huge
They are exceptionally good cars and totally outclass the Kia/Hyundai in driving as you felt, it's simply a better design from the perspective of the actual car not trim/sheetmetal/pointless stuff like that.
I never drove one on purpose because I knew I would want it.

That one was $69k, optioned how I would want they are about $74k. That one lacks the tech package which gets the surround view camera and the lane centering and night vision.

Its not fast by any means, doesn't feel fast it just feels smoother and more adequate for the size of the vehicle vs the V6.

The problem I have with the new JGC is the hard cheap plastic on the side of the center console my knee hits and rests. It’s also quite flimsy and flexy. I think only the Summit has it wrapped in leather. It should be soft and padded on all trim levels.
I’m surprised you even looked at one to be honest. I feel like you were so shaken by the Pacifica’s batteries failing that this would be off the table. The current GC’s version of UConnect has had its fair share of software issues.

I don't think it looks very fancy or expensive on the outside, unfortunately. And they're not cheap.
It starts at 40k, that's very cheap these days.....even 4 years ago that was not bad. 60k then is now about 100k in terms of what you get with a car, anything sub 100k is a midrange price car with the dollar being as weak as it is.
For only 4k or so more than the Hyundai/kia pair you get a far better platform

Yeah I noticed that too, doesn't bug me really for this type of vehicle given the other plusses.

Its a Jeep lol It depends on the color and the trim, I think they look better in silver and white, and I think the Summits look better because you can have the contrasting black roof. Summit won't work for us because it has a center console between the rear captains chairs.
I also think the 2 row looks better than the 3 row, but we need the third row.

I avoided looking at them for that reason, but its a great package all around, hard to beat unless you're going to spend $20,000 more.

So now you want a big naturally aspirated V8….that’s naughty SW
