Not only that, but he likes the Hemi. The Palisades are adequately powered with a nice NA V6 but not like that.
NA V8s are really fun because there's zero lag, I encourage people to check 5-60 times for a gauge of turbo lag. I imagine that Jeep is a hoot to stomp on.
And, get that V8 while you can.

Im honestly stunned you never drove one with the 8 lol! The on paper difference vs the 3.6 doesn't seem like much but the real world difference is huge
They are exceptionally good cars and totally outclass the Kia/Hyundai in driving as you felt, it's simply a better design from the perspective of the actual car not trim/sheetmetal/pointless stuff like that.

The problem I have with the new JGC is the hard cheap plastic on the side of the center console my knee hits and rests. It’s also quite flimsy and flexy. I think only the Summit has it wrapped in leather. It should be soft and padded on all trim levels.
I’m surprised you even looked at one to be honest. I feel like you were so shaken by the Pacifica’s batteries failing that this would be off the table. The current GC’s version of UConnect has had its fair share of software issues.
For only 4k or so more than the Hyundai/kia pair you get a far better platform
I also think the 2 row looks better than the 3 row, but we need the third row.
I think these Summits look pretty high end

This is an Overland:

I never drove one on purpose because I knew I would want it.
That one was $69k, optioned how I would want they are about $74k. That one lacks the tech package which gets the surround view camera and the lane centering and night vision.
Its not fast by any means, doesn't feel fast it just feels smoother and more adequate for the size of the vehicle vs the V6.
