I just got my car insurance renewal, rate went up $900...sheesh...homeowners went up about $1,000 too...
You might be able to bring that down a little by choosing higher-deductibles. You are generally a careful driver, so I'd consider leaving good coverage on Comprehensive (you usually have little control over theft, vandalism, fire, storm-damage, rocks and road-debris cracking your windshield and causing damage, etc...) and maybe bumping up the deductible on the Collision some....which you DO have some control over as a driver, and protects you if you hit someone else and are at fault.
As for your homeowner-policy, be glad you don't live in Florida. Never mind policy-increases.....many homeowners and buisness-owners there, particularly on or near the coast, are losing their coverage, period. Some insurance companies are simply pulling out of the state....the threat from hurricanes is just too great.

I honestly see no reason to even try the MB nav lol. I do like the augmented reality
I haven't used the MB nav either, but I've been very pleasantly surprised with the BMW one. I find myself using it significantly more often than GM/Waze, which I never thought would be the case for a factory nav.

Yowza, is that a 6mo policy or the annual amount? Because your increase is slightly more than my total (6mo) on the M3....and I have a 16M driver in the house.
That’s the annual. My wife did have a collision claim, she bumped into a Tahoe in a parking lot and it was like a $1,700 claim. I would have offered the woman money but she didn’t.
I already have $1,000 collision deductibles. Comprehensive is $50 but that doesn’t change the premium much.
I changed to Progressive about 3 years ago. The policies have about doubled in cost in that time. I’m about back to what I was paying with Allstate before I switched.

I'm the same way with Honda nav now. One of the guys on my team is an ex-Honda employee and asked me if I use the Honda nav. I said yes and he said I should do myself a favor and use CarPlay. I'm sold. It's great!
I always never understood the point of using any car systems like that, a phone is better and faster. Such a waste to have all those screens and wasted dev time when the car side systems will never be relevant past being an audio link or just mirroring the phone
My insurance renews in a few months and I'm afraid it's going to go up because I've had some claims, though none of them involved damaging any property or injuring anyone including myself.
I drove what I want to replace the Pacifica. A Jeep Grand Cherokee L Overland with the Hemi. LOVED it. Blows away anything I have driven other than the GLS and X7. Something like a Palisade or Telluride that is FWD/Macstrut just can't compare to something like this.
I’ll get the V8. The two I had before had the 6 and it feels much better with the 8.
Yeah it moves the vehicle around much more easily than the 6. Especially loaded down in the mountains. Last opportunity to get one too
Im honestly stunned you never drove one with the 8 lol! The on paper difference vs the 3.6 doesn't seem like much but the real world difference is huge
They are exceptionally good cars and totally outclass the Kia/Hyundai in driving as you felt, it's simply a better design from the perspective of the actual car not trim/sheetmetal/pointless stuff like that.
