Great finally someone else has spoken. Sure the heat from the windshield may be more than from the roof. But having a roof like this is generating additional heat to the heat from the windshield. Eventually I think they will implement something similar to iX. I've been in Vegas in Summer. It's not fun being outside for sure.

Thing to do is tint the roof with a good ceramic heat rejecting tint, even a clear tint

It may just be a myth but people have reported panoramic roofs explode from tinting. Maybe the ones that can reject heat won't. I did look into this at some points and some reported explosion related while others aren't. Some professional tint shops make you sign this off before they do it. It makes me uncomfortable doing it.

Do you have a link to what you use? Sounds like I need them when the time comes I've mentioned this before but it really annoys me that my MB rims get brake dust just from a trip down the street--literally.

Don't you all worry about not getting the stopping distance performance when using non oem brake pads?

My oem pads are semi metallic and very dusty(messy) but I fear using non oem these days.

Didn't worry about it at all back in the day before computer controlled anti-lock braking.

It can easily be an issue if you have a sticking slide, often time a slow slide will not be apparent but after a while the car may start to shake under braking or even just driving for a while on one trip. People mistakenly think it's warped disks when in reality it's just getting a disk very hot and it's deforming

The ABS system doesn't sense what pads you have only wheel speed so it bases it's decisions on that. Same way changing tires doesn't effect it but does change actual braking performance.

Most aftermarket pads from good brands will improve performance over OE unless you have a very high spec stock pad. In that case you should figure out who makes your stock pads and buy the same brand but ceramic instead

I’ve never experienced any noticeable difference.

I don’t really speed, you’d be surprised how a little use of the vehicles brakes occur when you follow the speed limit. My two oldest vehicles are not OEM parts on the brakes.

Ok ya'll, talked me into it.

I been wanting to hang some ceramic pads for a while.

I'll send Stiker a pm and see what brand he recommends.

i'm not striker nor do i have an official professional opinion, but i know of many that use Akebono ceramic ProACT pads and are very happy with the performance

the only "drawback" i've heard (and i've experienced this myself) is you may get a slight squeal on only the first brake application of a drive, but totally silent after that... higher humidity also seems to be a factor on whether they'll make any noise or not... but as far as stopping power and minimal dust production they're great

Great, ask yourself if you'd rather have your always running 560 ICE motor or prefer the hybrid now. Forget start/stop, you jailbroke it. I know you like EVs but and ICE Mercedes V8 sure sounds tasty these days, too. Or, yours at least.
