I really like HUDs, I wish they were more customizable though since most do not show oil temp/psi, Gs, gear, RPM etc....

That's a shame because in theory, it's really neat. There are several different modes, and it's in color.
I feel the same way and I don't want it or need it.

None of this new tech appeals to me and I don't know why, maybe I'm just broken. Lol

I'll take a pic next time I drive it, but the speed is clearly in sight anyway in the cluster at the top. So the HUD is redundant.

It's neat tech though and it will always come on and flash red even if off if you come up too fast on something,

My C6 Vette had it. Liked it a lot. Surprisingly my same year Caddy STSV didn’t have it and I missed it.

Have HUD on a few of our vehicles and always take it when available. One of my must have options.

I felt the same way as you did early on especially when I was test driving cars and at the time I wouldn’t have optioned it alone because I felt it was distracting and was giving me a headache looking at it. I got it because it was part of a package and I was glad I got it because it didn’t take long for me to get used to it. I think when I was test driving it I think it was distracting because I was focusing on it vs just casually looking at it when needed.

I love it now and it is excellent when I want want to know the speed limit or have the navigation on. Now if it is an option I would always get it. The only thing I don’t like about it is with polarized sunglasses it’s hard to see.

Got a chance yesterday to use my replacement magic vision wiper blades in heavy rain, thankfully they don't skip lol. Nothing like paying $200 for wiper blades and dragging you feet for a month replacing them because you're afraid they will chatter and skip!

yeah. Sounds like they are a bad idea because you can’t default to a simply wiper if your unhappy

Skipping wipers is a huge Mercedes issue, its not limited to the magic vision wipers. Every MB I have ever driven, all the loaners have horrible skipping and chattering wipers. You have to get the windshield perfectly clean and totally free of any kind of grease or oils or anything like that. I have one specific glass cleaner I use that is a heavy duty automotive cleaner so it strips off anything that the carwash might have deposited on the windshield, and I use a scrub pad on it every time I clean the windshield plus a squeegee.

So after the carwash I scrub the windshield with the scrub pad and the cleaner, use the squeegee to get it clean and they won't skip. If I dont do that, whatever any carwash leaves on the surface makes them skip.

That’s too bad. Never had an issue with my Toyotas or past Lexus vehicles

Nope, me neither. Once you figure out what you have to do its not that bad, but when the car was new I actually avoided driving it in the rain

That's interesting. The old school one wiper on my Benz is literally perfect. Covers almost all the windshield, no streaks no chatter no skipping. Just one big arm that sweeps so fast you barely even see it.

Looks like she bought it used from a Toyota dealer?

So this is interesting. Toyota uses OEM Denso blades, which are great. Kia/Hyundai also use the same blades, as does FCA/Chrysler. The OEM blades on my Sedona and on my Pacificas were/are all the same Denso blades my Lexuses had. When you buy replacement blades at Toyota dealers or Lexus dealers you don't get those Denso blades unless you just buy refills! You get that blade with the Toyota or Lexus logo and the wipers are not the same. But, OEM blades from Hyundai/Kia and Chrysler you get the real OEM Denso blades.
