Lexus should take this idea, make a longer wheelbase IS500 GT (essentially a GS bodyshell) and call it a day. That way, Lexus won't have to make an embarrassing U turn after declaring the GS dead and existing GS owners still have an upgrade path after trading in their old GS.

The front of the car would look so much better with a normal sized mesh grill like in the old days. This big grill trend will probably go down as the worst styling direction in automotive history.

I, for one, think the front end design of the new IS is far better looking than the outgoing model. The rear end OTH, not so much

Big badges too. Great big manufacturer logos that span upwards of a foot wide, sometimes even larger.

We get it! you hate everything about Lexus. I personally think it looks better than that atrocity called the BMW 3/4 series with their newly freshened nasal/sinus skull look.

Lexus still has the biggest grills in the business and thus it's quite presumptuous for a lexus driver to criticize BMW new grills since Lexus isn't much better with their monstrosity. Also the 3 series doesn't have the new grills, that's the 4 series and the M3/M4.

I don’t like the new BMW grille, but I’m not allowed to say that because I drive a Lexus? Whaaaat?

Apparently me neither, lol. Iv'e been on this forum since 2001 and I stopped posting here because it's nothing but bashing Lexus. I get, they're way behind, but even before this happened, it was nothing but negativity.

I actually do like the LC500 a lot. I hope new convertible does well but dropping LC-F after spending so much time /money is unforgivable. I can only imagine how bad the development team of that car feel.

Let’s be honest - there is not much to like in Lexus range if you value performance or enthusiast oriented cars/Suvs.

As far as BMW - I’m Not a fan of the new styling direction of the new M3/4 and especially new 4 series.

The M3 and M4 share the front facia - this is going back to E9x generation.
M3 and 3series have never shared front end design because M3 is much wider with different hood/fenders etc. The G20 3series has the normal sized grill and is not expected to change even during refresh next year.
