Mercedes EQS flagship
Just because one is a younger person means one is not suppose to drive an expensive high end luxury car like a S-class, EQS, Bentley, etc., is nonsense imo. They are typically owned by old people because mostly only old people can afford them. There are no lack of younger celebrities who own these high end luxury models because they are easily affordable to them, and no doubt people of any age can enjoy them for what they offer.

Why are you calling my personal opinion "nonsense"?
Lol, suit yourself. I bought my "old man car" LS430 at age 30 haha.
Yes, it is my personal opinion that it is nonsense, too.

If the EQS looked like the new Sclass - it would be a winner.
It drives like a normal MB sedan but they tried to go with EV styling.
The new Sclass is everywhere and they are all S580s. It looks so good - elegant, luxurious, modern and sporty without any gimmicks. Another timeless design.

but a success in china because it's seen as futuristic and different (and they likely didn't see 90s civics
), i'm sure mb will still be happy with that.
what i couldn't cope with was the feeling when i drove a sheeple 2014 white camry for 4 months.
Having said that however, if the "design" of concept version of the EQS had made it into production (and not morphed into a big 90's Civic - I could see myself in that car.

and it's still a blob.

and yet we have members here saying the new s-class is not as nice looking as the prior one.

oh wait, it's growing on people.

It will do fine, but it wont have the impact with non EV adopters it could have had if it were better looking. People like me for instance would have adopted the EV tech if the car were more conventionally attractive.
i don't really care about 'here' or 'there' only overall sales. if it's a flop in the u.s. because too many think it looks like a 90s civic

ha... well i had 3 years with my 'old man' g90 and i survived.

i'm sure there were many regulatory issues as to why they couldn't bring the concept as is to market.
