So this is definitely not a review, just a bunch of eye candy... but awesome to see a straight black one...

Even in the best glamour shots it still looks like a giant turd. Shame.

Yeah but it's slow. 0-60 in 3.8s for an AMG isn't impressive at all let alone compared to other high end EVs. Surprised.

their whole electric line up are ugly, the rear less so but the front....

 

Not a good look at all. When I think of Maybach luxury I think of an opulent custom ordered stretch German limousine with every convenience imaginable in the back seat area. The last thing I think of when I picture a Maybach is that ugly and bulbous SUV in the video link above. Barf. Of course I am not at all the target customer for one of these but I still find it hard to believe that this is the best this company could come up with to represent ultimate luxury with your own personal driver to chauffeur you around.

On the other hand when I think of a luxury SUV shape from Mercedes the first thing I think of is a G-Wagen (though I personally prefer the bare bones military-spec W460 and W461 models most people are familiar with the luxury-oriented G-wagen trim levels).

Maybach needs to try much harder to hit the mark.

 

They've only unveiled the EQS 53 model. A 63 is coming that should be quicker.

 

The EQS53 looks like an AMG A Class to me...watched a video on it last night

 

That's good to know. I forgot they diluted the AMG name. They have slow versions now.
