The KRELL system in the Acura RLX is the best system I have heard yet, it is rare but you should try it if you can.

That is cool the G90 can play DVD's, I am sure there will be a work around so it can play them while out of park. The only real reason I kind of want ML for a LS460 is just to play DVD's and that is something I will unlikely hardly ever do aside from maybe a long trip to entertain my passenger.

i agree with this, but disks in general are old hat. plus i believe the car allows media including videos and pictures to be played from or transferred to the built in storage via usb.

You don't need 1080p HD for a 8 or 9 inch screen, total waste when it comes to car screens other then the ability to play blu ray discs. It is odd how there are so few portable blu ray players even these days and they are still expensive, most portable's are still DVD's. What car can even play blu ray discs?

For Bit. What are your thoughts on the navigation system? Do you have Apple CarPlay?

nav is excellent, particularly because of the 'google button' on the rear view mirror, but i also like how you can have it 'full screen' (12") or about 2/3 or 1/3 with the other 1/3 or 2/3 used for something else like music info or a separate turn by turn list.

nav also works so nicely with the heads up display so i rarely need to look at the map except for maybe looking for destination estimated time of arrival, stuff like that.

the nav is also basically instantly responsive, and the control dial can be rotated to set the zoom of the map display. i almost never use anything other than the 3d (me going 'up' the map, i.e., my pov).

as for apple carplay, neither it nor android auto made it into this one, probably because the car isn't touch screen and it just wasn't in the cycle. since i don't have an iphone i don't care about apple carplay, but i did try android auto on a g80 and was expecting to be all wowed by using waze for nav for example, and it was kinda meh.

iHad thought you were an iPhone fanatic. That said, thanks for the navigation update. As for Car Play or Android auto, I am starting to think it may not be the deal breaker I thought it would be.

its not about the resolution - it's about the compatibility - 75% of DVDs I own are Blu-ray and the other 25% are 18 years old that I don't ever watch.

lol well millions love their jeeps. i wouldn't rule out having another one but the ride will have to be cushy so it's unlikely.

When the current-generation JGC debuted in 2010/2011, it had a very nice cushy ride by Jeep standards. A few years later (and without a re-design), sure enough, they stiffened it up a little. Why, I have no idea.

Compatibility would definitely be the main reason but I have not heard of really any vehicles that play blu ray discs, a blu ray needs a separate laser from a DVD type NAV system so that is probably why most vehicles still don't play blu ray's and the few that can play video discs in the front discs play DVD's.

I would say I have about 25% blu ray and 75% DVD, I don't need comedies, drama's, gangster movies, etc to be blu ray, sometimes the HD picture seems to ruin the feel of some older movies which is why I prefer them in DVD, I mainly just get whatever is the cheapest, sometimes the a used blu ray will be cheaper then a used DVD.

Both my Jeeps rode very well, but they certainly don't ride like a flagship luxury sedan like the G90 or LS. Mt 2011 was a coil sprung one but it had the 18" wheels with big sidewalls. My 2014 had air suspension and 19s, and the air rode great. My partner has a 2016 on air and 20s and it rides just like my 14 did.

I think the issue with his was it had the coil suspension and 20s.

Yeah, I haven't seen a set of 20s yet that I really liked the ride-quality on, though, of course, as you note, the type and tuning of the suspension also makes a difference. Some are more tolerable than others. (I also haven't tried out some of the latest versions of larger SUVs with them yet, but plan to sample a Navigator soon.)

My Jeep with the 20s and the air suspension rode great, our Pacifica with the 20s and the cool suspension (only suspension there is anyways) also rides well. They both have good sidewalk height though
