Here's the actual video. At least the money went to charity, not in Toyota's pocket.

Actually, I find this comment somewhat unnecessary. You make out that Toyota is a greedy company, when in fact they had the idea to do something like this and help charities with the proceeds.

Then again, I could be just over thinking things...

Yes, just a little, but no problem. What I meant is that I was quite glad to see the money go to charity. Toyota is (arguably) the richest auto company in the world.......and the last thing it needs is over 2M for a single vehicle.

Anyhow, just enjoy the video.....it is quite entertaining.

It's nice to see Toyota do something like this. They didn't have to. Nice feel good story.

Wow, $2.1 million for the new Supra. Good for charity.

Reading through this thread and I am still confused the usual suspects are still posting on this thread even though they have no interest in the car. Borderline trolling at this point. Smh. Will wait for the actual comparisons before I write it off as the weaker Z4 twin.

Gotta say that Matte Grey Supra looked really good!
$2.1million is crazy to pay for $50k car but im sure its a nice tax writeoff for the guy that bought it.

There was LFA Nürburgring edition that sold for $835k just before the Supra - those cars will be crazy $$$ in the future.

Remember $2.1m is likely pocket change to the buyer. For example, while the buyer is surely no Jeff Bezos, Bezos could make this transaction 70,000 times.

Default The New GR Supra! What We Know So Far

Interesting write up by one of the vendors in the MKIV aftermarket space.

When I first saw the MKIV, it was love at first site. This car just doesn't wow me the same way. Maybe it'll grow on me. The HP number seems mediocre compared to 320HP in 1993. But we know that engine will be highly tunable, plus the hp/weight ratio makes a big difference. We shall see how it goes.
