Politics will come up as the world degenerates more. People will also stop being able to/have time for interacting on places like this as that occurs and those who do will naturally be more apt to trend that way

 

We all have been here for many years, some 20+, even post Lexus ownership. I'd hate to see that go away. Sometimes if one disagrees, then just move on. No need for a back and forth.

 

I've just seen people way to divided, everyone thinking their party or views are the right one. In the end, no politician has our interests in mind

-this site went really downhill with the constant censorship…
-banning politics is an error if engagement is what is desired. Everything automotive is political…for example (Canada’s pivot to China for electric vehicles was a political statement). How else does one frame the discussion? Canada buys 1.75 million American made vehicles and that is now on the decline as Canadian customers pivot in their purchases. How else to discuss? The current America’s tariffs are an attempt to deconstruct the North American electric vehicle supply chain as EVs vs ICE is a political thing. It’s a California thing. Where are all the new battery factories…in Kentucky, Tennesee, Michigan..…just saying, there is politics in every part auto industry. Talk of politics is a must…my 4Runner V8 is still on the road because the conservative government abolished emissions testing. Akio Toyota wore a MAGA hat and faced no backlash..it showsToyota is not a political company
-perhaps members who don’t like something, should just not read it, if two members want to duke it out…reinforce individual members choice that they don’t have engage. It is on the member to cooperate

Even sent the previous admin an apology for all the drama. Members should be encouraged to create their own ignore lists
-the merge of the EV and ICE threads was an excellent decision.
-allowing swear words was a big mistake..one can **** but they can’t say TRUMP..it doesn’t make sense…it doesn’t fit
-the members are the drivers of this forum, the members create the engagement, perhaps the mods could consult one on one with the most regular members to find out what everyone truly wants?

-hopefully politics is not banned
-one request..please don’t close the Hyundai/Kia recall thread… that thread is epic…it truly brings balance to the force

back in the day, used to have the admins on my rear anytime I engaged…so once the ignore list started, realized the admins stopped bothering me. Perhaps the problem was me. Didn’t hear from the chief admin for a long long time once it was started. Not everyone has to get a long, it’s up to those members to move on from my posts
