Hilarious the cop was too arrogant to just laugh at himself and move on.
OMG. I didn't think the cop was gonna be kind of a dick about it.
My father got pulled over recently for "texting" when he wasn't, he just had the phone in his hand and was moving it to the console or whatever. The cop was cool. My father was an FBI agent, in law enforcement his whole life. He asked the cop "So are you pulling people over who take a sip of their drink with one hand?" Kinda hard to argue against that. If Dad really was texting then yeah but he wasn't. No ticket.

oh man send me some PBA cards! great response to the cop too
Does that still work? I see more of the golden medallion plastered on G63s these days.
oh they work... it's actually bullshit what a racket the whole thing is lol
the windshield stickers really don't mean much, but the signed PBA card is very effective! if the cop is a dick they might be like call who gave you that to make sure it's legit
Good ol DC. Coming back from VA, 1:35 to go 22 miles. 52 minutes just in one backup before the American Legion Bridge, and this is after completion of YEARS of construction to alleviate that bottleneck and paying $37 in toll lanes to avoid as much of the traffic as possible.

I stopped in Tysons for dinner to wait it
Not sure if this is considered political or not, but, although Virginia is not totally without fault, you can blame Montgomery County for much of that congestion. For years (even decades) the County has vigorously-fought any attempts to have another bridge built upstream from the current American Legion Bridge to help relieve some of the huge traffic-load. Currently, you have to go all the way up to Point of Rocks and Route 15...a winding two lane road, to get across the river from VA into MD. And Virginia made large Beltway improvements years ago.......Maryland is still lagging. That's one reason why traffic backs up to Tysons waiting to go North....the big choke-point at the bridge....although sometimes there are also further choke-points further north in Maryland, like the split to go North on I-270.
Also, another factor is that Tysons has an enormous number of jobs. Many thousands of people who live in Maryland commute there, and are going back home on the Beltway at the end of the day....there is a mass-exodus heading north.

I'm well aware of all of that seeing that I too have lived here my whole life lol

You specifically said my rates would go up 40% at the renewal. They didn't.
And yes fair enough about the insurance but as I've said even the powers that be were like WTF. It doesn't make sense. They were just TWO parking lot fender benders involving zero damage other than my vehicle (and under $5000 worth of it each time at that); put a family full of kids by hitting their vehicle in the ICU, that's different and I would understand. Whew, knock on wood I don't even like typing that out.

It'll get renewed again...wait and see. Took a while for me to be proven right about your previous insurance too lol

It makes sense. You showed them you were someone who tends to submit claims...most people hardly ever or never submit claims, but you showed that you were likely to do so even for small accidents and that was risk they didn't want. Plus they were at fault collision claims which always increase your risk profile. One big unforseen accident is actually more desirable for them than somebody who is likely to turn every loss in. Didn't you also try and get them to cover the peeling paint on your SL bumpers and they denied it or something? Over time the cost of paying out multiple smaller claims AND the risk of a big catastrophic claim was more risk than they wanted. Contrast to somebody like me who NEVER files claims, the only real risk is that big catastrophic claim and that exists for everybody.
In any event, no big deal you found other insurance.

LOLLLL yes the SL I did try to get the bumpers repainted because I knew they were dumping me...what did I have to lose. They denied it and I was going to fight it as hard as I could but then the back **** happened where I was laid up for weeks and it became really unimportant. Can't blame a guy for trying, though.

Partly depends on what the claims are actually for. What claims I have submitted over the years with GEICO were (mostly) things beyond my control (under Comprehensive)....stuff like paint-damage from vandals, stolen chrome emblems, cracked windshields from Beltway road-debris, etc..... By law, at least in some states, insurance companies cannot raise rates for Comprehensive claims.
This is why I strongly recommend that people have at least some Comprehensive coverage on their vehicles...the chances of things like that happening to one's vehicle is significant, particularly in and around large cities. Some people, to keep costs down, either skip Comprehensive coverage altogether, or have just the bare minimum in each category that the State requires to register their vehicle.
