Yeah the rain kind of sucks but we avoided it for the most part the last couple of days except late afternoon. We move to the ******* tonight that has a nice pool/waterpark for a dance comp until next Tuesday and if it rains as much as they say, it’s going to be like being in a nice prison.

Auto Start/Stop is irrelevant for me in the summer as I always have the car on MAX A/C which is one of the conditions in which it won't shut off at a stop.

Bought my auto stop/start eliminator connector from 4D Tech for my Lexus RX. 3 minutes to install and works great. No more strain on the starter, battery, AC, and turbo.

amazing the fools at Toyota won’t allow the switch to stay off when you restart the car.

It does, but it was disabled by default. I've tried it out and the logic is impeccable. The engine can only shut off at a full stop with the transmission in neutral and the clutch released. As soon as you push the clutch in it restarts. I've tried several times to race it and I am personally incapable of getting into 1st gear before the engine reaches idle rpm.

Jets don't run on cranberry juice. God forbid I turn start/stop off and don't save 5%, S/S everyone hates so bad the EPA even is fine with it being gutted.

If you want to live your life told by the government what to do, knock yourself out. I like big, NA engines with 8 cylinders..

The government isn’t forcing any carmakers to use this technology…like it or not most car buyers care very much about fuel economy.

I made it to WV and totally forgot to use Eco mode to see if it would shut the engine off going down grades. Oh well haha.

Yes but they don't care for stop start. You know it's bad when the EPA even is fine with it. Think about everything they have the power to, (and have) shut down etc etc.

What car are you talking about you took to WV?

Lol I couldn't even imagine. Just the V8 is a guzzler, it would cost you 1/4th a tank just to take that V12 out hahah.

I can't even imagine the bliss of a V12 in that car, the V8 alone is plenty intoxicating to listen to and feel.

You’re brave. 🥵

start stop was added to cars because the EPA gave carbon credits, its a participation troophy like zelden said. The EPA didnt do an actual study showing how much real world savings it was in a variety of operating conditions. It felt good i guess.

The fact that they do these things when we have so many big important things to deal with is part of my problem lol

Drove the S580 to WV
