Gas Prices
I’m nothing special and many ppl in NY are just like this. Came from nothing but it’s just different mentality.
I can’t understand being in USA for multiple generations and not having Millions if you just use 80% effort.
There is not enough space for me to write on this subject, so I'll just say kudos to you for making something out of yourself. You are one of only a small number of people who made themselves from nothing. Most people just don't have your drive ambition, and most don't know how to save money in the first place, which is something immigrants are better at
Fortunately, my wife reminded me that eggs which were approaching $8 a dozen are down to $1.69 at our local grocery store. I feel better now.
Fortunately, eggs are optional, gas isn't. That extra $6 you're saving on eggs is probably now paying a fraction of the increase on your utility bills.

This thread has been good I have to say. Bit and Mike have done a good job keeping it open. There hasn't been much if any personal insults.
As lame as it may sound posting on CL and interacting with all you great people is one of the few bright spots left in my life.
My spouse grew up poor, started at the company he works for at 19 years old at $9 an hour just as a basic employee.
And oh, we save. We live like a couple that lives on $50,000 a year combined. Our income is wayyyyyyyy more many times over.
