Lol that's what my sister says.... She has 2. But yeah quite a few friends of mine didn't have kids, and it wasn't like this generations ago. We're long in the tooth now. My Goddaughter is in college (she's my best friend from grade school'x daughter), that stuns me.
I quite like kids, I have nephews and a niece.
They worship us it's really cute. They love the SL, my youngest nephew thought it was cool how the glass lowers when you open the doors then closes to reseal it, lol. I was like "Buddy that ain't nothin new!"
Sadly it’s how people are influenced and brought up culturally.
Today having a family is not always the main goal of younger people which is the opposite of how ppl viewed success/happiness historically.
Its also much more expensive to have kids nowadays and people wait too long unfortunately.
NEVER rely on the government to have a happy/successful life.
Thankfully we are in America and not in some Communist country!
Most people are lazy to learn about simple things that generate income or how the stock market works. It’s always the system is against me etc. There has never been an easier time to become a millionaire without actually doing anything that special but you have to grind hard for 10+ years if you don’t come from $$$.
Lol that's hilarious. You need money to make money. In 2020 I took $40k put it in TSLA and eventually turned it into $300k. In my case that was 'disposable income'. How many people have $40k disposable income laying around? All you are showing me is you hate poor people. In your eyes they are lazy because you think they have the same opportunities as you, which is not true. And did you actually work for that money, build it from scratch, or did you have some family connections?
The truth is, only a small percentage of people even have money to invest. Most live paycheck to paycheck and can barely get by. Yes you shouldn't rely on government to make you rich (although our government officials seem to be profiting off government), but people should be able to have basic necessities, good roads and infrastructure. Build roads, not bombs is my moto. BTW, defending the Epstein class isn't something I'll ever do

This is a very arrogant perspective, completely ignoring observable reality. While I agree you should never rely on the government to build success, the government can ruin your success like they did to millions of people in 2020. And since we both came here from the same communist country, I see far more misery, extreme misery, here than I've ever seen in USSR.
As far as my advice, it's going to be a lot easier to grind hard for 10+ years without having the burden of having children, but even financial success aside, there is so many societal problems that affect children, I know a ton of wealthy families where kids are on drugs, have mental issues, depression, committed suicides, overdosed.

My friend I wasn’t born in this country and grew up in a immigrant neighborhood where most ppl don’t speak English, same for my wife. I got my Real Estate license when i was 18 while in school and did open houses on weekends and some rentals. Lots of cold calling. Anyone can get this type of job bec it’s all commission. As a result I was able to make some connections and over time save up $$$ while going to college. Then the real grind began lol
I’m nothing special and many ppl in NY are just like this. Came from nothing but it’s just different mentality.
I can’t understand being in USA for multiple generations and not having Millions if you just use 80% effort.

USSR was good up to a point especially if you were lazy or related to someone that was in govt but you could never reach a certain level of success and it can all be taken away. Nobody that has lived in US and USSR would ever want to go back to communism.
Covid was devastating for many especially if you had a business that was impacted but that was extraordinary event. I’m talking about ppl changing their life plans by who is elected, yes you should understand the impacts of certain policies but never tie your success or failure to who is in office.
Go back in history - always been tough having kids and you had various diseases and hardships etc. How about WWI and WWII - who wanted to have kids back then?!

As someone who came from USSR, USA no longer feels like the same country I came to over 30 years ago, in many aspects it's become a lot more "communist" than USSR ever was, whatever communism even means anymore, lol.

Yeah, but what's happening in the society across the world today is unprecedented, and the birth rates reflect it. I think young people don't have the ignorant boomer views of the world, and see it for what really is, and wisely choosing not to bring children into it.

You need to get out of the doom and gloom of NY!
Go down to Miami for a bit - you will feel completely different. Just the sunshine alone will make you happy. The Energy is completely unmatched, it’s what NYC was during Bloomberg era.
Young people are too distracted on tiktok to even go out forget about sex and kids.
