And that was the only car they fit.

My manager said they got one in one with a dead mouse stuck inside one! LOL He said they put ‘em on a car and had to put extra weights to counterbalance the dead mouse!
Ah yuk! My daughter Bolt came with the Michelin Energy Saver SelfSeal, and she hit something in the road near the sidewall and the tire cracked. I think it actually kept the tire sealed. She wanted the same tires so I bought two of them from Tire rack and had my mechanic change them. They are sticky inside for sure. Also expensive

The reason not to offer it as an option (the column shifter) is that nobody is going to not buy the truck because it doesn’t have an old school column shifter. So, why offer it?

There is no reason on Earth to not offer it on non HD rigs as a no cost option. I would have chosen that no question.

I bet that feels GREAT to the touch and solid AF, slammable.
Definitely an old school feeling. The console shifter just seem more modern But I have heard arguments that the column shifter offers more space and the option for a bench seat.

Because people want it!!!

I bet at least 50% of Yukon buyers would go with the old shifter if offered a choice. ESPECIALLY repeat buyers.

Wrap some leather around it, Denali it up (if it's not already).... no way in hell I'd want anything else. Slamming a column shifter into park or drive is very satisfying lol. GM always got it right with those as well. I'd much rather have the old 2003 Yukon shifter I had (updated and nice) than those buttons.

I doubt enough people want it to make it worthwhile. 50% of Yukon buyers? I think that’s a huge stretch. Unless it’s going to create more buyers there’s not any point. They’re pushing buttons now and they’re still buying it.

You have an old soul. 🤣 Just seems weird let’s say if you’re towing and you want to drop a gear I believe you press the - button on the column shifter.

Column shifter vs the shifter in your LX?

Don't get in the way of AJT and his column shifter if you know what's good for you 🤣

I think the push button shifters are bogus. Just give us old fashioned shifters back console mounted or column I don’t care!

You shouldn’t have to explain to people how to use these complicated joystick shifters.

I agree, they get too complicated.

I have no problem using them. Because I’m always watching car reviews and reading about cars. But someone like my parents could get into a rental car and not know how to put it in gear.

Also putting it in neutral could be tricky or incomprehensible in an emergency to the untrained.

I will say that of all the electronic shifters I have used the stalk MB style one being used here is the best. You have to know how to use it though, especially to put a car in neutral.

It all depends on the implementation. GMC has one of the best push-button shifters in the Yukon, and unarguably the worst in the Terrain.

I don't mind the BMW joystick in mine. They've since moved to a little switch in the iDrive 8 models.

Everyone should just copy Mercedes. If we’re going to have these silly shifters. Might as well copy the best. Mercedes has been using that since like 2005.

The shifter that BMW used from 2007 till about 2 years ago was great. The nub they’re using now is stupid.
