this mercedes is an amazing engineering accomplishment (3 electric motors!?) but with SO MUCH STUFF crammed into it, i can't imagine it could be reliable for the long haul. great review.

It’s interesting how people aren’t worried about the reliability of EVs but then you put an EV together with a gas engine and that makes them worried about reliability.

I'm not one of those people, I need all my cars to be reliable. I think what Bit is saying is putting all of that together and getting it to work with a gasoline engine adds a lot of complexity. Than you have turbo charging on top of that

your one liner posts are often so incomplete and disingenuous.

But we're not supposed to discuss EV's or ev vs ice in car chat.

We need a manufacturer to bring these back. I miss them. It added character to the particular car.

Where’s proper place to discuss it at, the ice cooler? Because any mention of gas engine in EV chat you’re the first to point out “why are we discussing gas cars in the EV chat?”

True, but I'm sure manufacturers like Audi and Kia/Hyundai that are so good with lighting can make some magic with hidden lights.

The point of pop up headlights was so you could have a low front end and still have usable headlights. When headlights can be 3 inches wide theres no point. IMO its got to have some sort of function
