my lc500 with 10 gears, also has very low rpm's on the highway when cruising. in sport modes though it normally won't go above 8th.

Are you planning on keeping your LC500 long term or trading it up for something new?

oh yea that's absolutely where it matters... the cars in those pics have an 8.3 and 7.0 liter engine respectively so plenty of grunt to push a lightweight sports car around at any speed!

Very possible.

Here are all the options:

This is the screen that shows the engine temp:

Oh and the creaking seat is 100% solved. Even in the parking garage with the audio and HVAC off I can't hear any creaking.

Wow! that's how I like it when cruising, quiet and engine running at low RPM's 👍

To those of you interested here is what the creaking was and how I solved it:

Behind the seat there is a piece of fabric that finishes the look of the lower seat:

This fabric causes tension on the creaky plastic trim coming around the back of the seat base in these areas:

So, I shoved the fabric back into the seat and pushed it on the sides beyond that plastic trim so now its in front of it and no longer interacts with it:

Amazing the dealer never found this, and that nobody else on MBWorld has had a dealer find this.

Really goes to show you how far behind Lexus is.

Such an easy fix.

I doubt it. There isn’t even an engine life monitor on a new Lexus. I think the LC500 has a mechanical fan like my 1GR. It’s all mechanical. (not saying there is anything wrong with that)

Look how long it took Toyota to offer a competitive operating system for the infotainment screens…. And are the new infotainment systems really on par with the competitors? Something tells me the systems are still behind. Although, I really like the screens in the RX and NX.

I was playing with the new infotainment in my buddy’s new Grand Highlander. I would say it’s top 10% which is a big improvement from where they were.

Nice work @SW17LS .
This is the kind of stuff that gives the customer a run around.

Put some lube on it and punt the problem down the road until the next dealer appointment for the same annoying issue. Lol
