General Car Conversation 2025 - Part 1
Interesting to see in next few to several years to see some of these models get up in mileage.
I have two first year model vehicles. No issues. The avoid the first year model thing is overdone
I bought a 2007 Camry SE V6 in January 2007. It just had its FIRST ISSUE 2 months ago, new alternator. Car has around 232k ish miles. Used to be lowered on TRD springs but it’s been back to stock height since 2010.

Loved my Artic Blue Pearl TSX. It was an extra car and I sold it after COVID because it was sitting around too much, had over 185,000 miles and started needing work that would be cheap and easy for mechanically inclined folks but not for me. Sold it to a guy in Delaware. BTW, it was bone stock except for LED maplights when I sold it!
The steering and 6-speed in that car were magic.
Def striker car!!
... Unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Brabus E V12 is a dramatically reimagined version of the W212 Mercedes-AMG E-Class. Instead of the 5.5-liter V8 used in the standard model, Brabus would transfer the 5.0-liter V12 from the Mercedes-Benz W221 S600 and add almost an entire liter of displacement to the already potent power plant, a similarly sized V12 engine as the one used in the Brabus rendition of the Maybach S-Class. The 6.3-liter V12 engine would require a special crankshaft with a longer stroke, larger cylinder bore, larger precision-balanced pistons, and upgraded piston rods.

He lowered the car to the point where the wheels are rubbing the fenders, thus the negative camber. Had a friend who did that when I was in HS, and it is the most miserable ride. You feel like your teeth are going to come out at every little bump, and you have to drive 2 miles an hour up out of driveways and over bumps to keep the front and back from scraping

sorry if this is painful to see steve!
there's a youtube channel called fitment industries that's all about making cars look like that, but i think these people at some level think they're making their car more like a race car by doing this lol
Official word is they were going 50-60ish (iirc) but the car is so totaled it had to be faster than that, I think.
Other than Di's death (obviously) Mercedes was in the limelight for a little while. It was concluded that the car did do its job quite well. The sole survivor was wearing a seatbelt and nobody else. They say Diana had a good chance (75-80%) of making it if she had her belt on, and the other passengers too for that matter.
And yep, W140s were tanks. That was a 190hp S280 we didn't get however which was slowww. People have asked before how the car was able to get such a devastating speed so quickly.
And yes, RIP. What a wonderful woman she was.

Some may say the 6th gen 4Runner is more powerful but throw a blower on the 5th gen and it’s a different conversation. But I believe the mpg is better on the 6th runner. There also reports of the 5th gen powerplant being a dog I guess depending on who you ask.
I had a 3rd gen 4Runner and it was one of the my favorite vehicles however it wasn’t great at anything. LOL. I think I did average 20mpg. I would still have it if could tow my 7x16 enclosed trailer. It pulled it empty home but once I got it setup to haul motorcycles, it couldn’t haul 1 let alone the 3 it was set up for.
no more dark blue option. 60s tires.

Looks like it's a good time to by a new Corvette

There Are Thousands of Unsold New Chevy Corvettes at Dealers Across the U.S.
Markups pushed the price of a new C8 Corvette into six-figures after it debuted, but now a new one can be had for much less
