My plan was to get a new G60 when they came out and sell or trade the G30. While I don't hate the new one, I just don't care for it enough to buy one. I'll keep mine, which I really like, for a while longer. I'm in no hurry.

 

Everything has. That’s why more traditional looking cars look better and better as time goes on, like his Bimmer.

I’m curious if you will see any gains with just the downpipe without a tune. I didn’t see much of a gain with my catted downpipe with a tune like I had hoped. The tune made the biggest difference.

 

Nope, pure bearing metal......

You almost never see headgasket failure on German cars unless someone really overheated one several times. 2.0 EA888s however love to set new records for chain and bearing failure speed! And HPFP follower failure, and carbon lock, and PCV failure and on and on.

 

I plan on running a JB4 piggyback. I’ve read good and not great things about it. Can get a custom E30 93/E85 map. Has like 5-6 different maps. I may only use 2-3 of the maps. I’ll mainly run the 93 map. I’ve read somewhere in 420-440whp on 93 with a DP. I believe can run up to E40 E85 where it can get pretty wild.

I may eventually get a full unlock tune when I get bored with current setup especially. Not a fan of shipping ECU to Finland. Hopefully sooner than later it will be available stateside.

One Supra ran a 10.9 on MS109 fuel on a JB4 tune.

Oh they don't survive, they are horrific. I hate any EA888 and the EA113 is on THIN ice, I still don't like them at all due to the idiotic cam adjuster system and how it has internal leaks. Still not as bad as the EA888 chain failing every 30-60k miles but both suck.....the 1.8T is much better if you don't want to lose you mind with constant issues.
