Yes, that's what the Tesla service rep told me. Haven't had an issue with the front camera's, but I've been getting messages about the side camera's since they took care of they cleaned the front camera

I get the messages about the side cameras all the time after it rains and I haven’t washed the car but it never impacts FSD (at least that I know of).

My FSD trial ends today and it has been a great experience. I loved using it to see how it would react to different situations and it had been impressive. The other day it slowed and pulled over when a fire truck with sirens was coming the opposite way on a two lane road, very impressive.

A couple little things it can improve on:

1. A few times it was impressive dodging a pothole or manhole cover but then the other day I couldn’t take over in time and it ran over a dead raccoons head because I wasn’t able to take over quickly enough. Pretty gross feeling.

2. It still tries to pass on the right sometimes on a two lane road where there is a short right lane to make a right hand turn which is not a lane at all and too short to pass.

3. It tried again to go down a one way road again coming out of a parking lot and I had to take over very quickly again.

4. One time it waited way too long to get over on a right exit ramp and almost stopped the flow of traffic because cars weren’t ready to let me in so I had to go in the triangle part of the marked road and cut someone off to make the exit.

Not too bad overall but I am still hesitant to pay monthly right now, I like driving and am a little bit of a control freak.

Yeah, this is something new with the error messages for the side camera's, I've driven in rain many times with no warning messages before the last update. My Y with hardware v3 doesn't have these same error messages. I just cleaned them a few hours ago, so lets see if the errors still pop up. They do clear themselves so it's not been a big problem.

I'm a control freak as well, but have been finding myself using FSD a lot. I have it until Jan 27th, so I'm going to use it until it ends. I'm only going to buy the subscription when going on trips, as it makes them more relaxing. I can blow time talking to Grok while not paying to much attention to the road

it says MB level 3 is too expensive, too limited, there's no demand, and MB thinks they'll never have the billions of miles needed to make it fully useful.

MB also has a partnership with NVIDIA that is the future of their autonomous driving tech, replacing their previous efforts

MB does not say that, it is a twitter guy proping Tesla stock.

Essentially MB replaced their system with new nvidia platform based solution.

There are already influencer drives in SF during CES 2026. It drives well.

It also does not need billions upon billions of hundred gazillion miles. It is all fake news by some random twitter guy.

Also Lex knows this. Lol.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Again. Firstly, Mercedes wouldn't need to use Nvidia if their own system was capable. Secondly, Nvidia does not offer a turnkey system they have what amounts to a software development kit. Automakers can't simply install it and done, full self driving. They need the data there is no way around this.

Jensen agrees, he calls Tesla's FSD state of the art.

As a consumer I couldn't care less if Mercedes partners with whomever. No doubt FSD is state of the art and currently the best in the business, still wouldn't entice me and many others to buy a Tesla. Other manufacturers will get there, and hell you may find Tesla winds up licensing FSD at some point.

MB has always bought platforms for this. So did other manufacturers. Thats the big benefit for platforms such as Nvidia, Qualcomm, Intel, Momenta, etc. They train it on million cars they have on the road today.
You are not starting from 0.

And Yes, if you watch the FULL video you are posting, it is already in CLA. Jenses explains how it works and how it learns and gets updated. There is a timeline of updates posted in the video. It is coming to USA with 2027 MB CLA in Q1, Europe in Q2 and Asia in Q3 and Q4.

You know there have been multiple rides in SF city traffic posted by people. SW posted very shortened video from Nvidia conference:

It is 2 minutes of info. It is camera + radar based, takes input from human driving, from test suite and hundreds of thousands of examples for teaching.
In fact, they claim it is worlds first thinking and reasoning autonomous AI - something that Tesla is actually just baking into FSD. Has 2 models that are running continuously.

Why pretend you dont know anything about it? What tweet you posted mentioned is mostly constructed fake news to show MB as a failure, Tesla as 15 years in lead, which is hilarious as this new system is anything but.

Some influencer drives:
SAE channel drive:

Nvidia test videos explains how it works in detail:

Nothing you posted refutes anything I said.
