Timely update on this. I drove home from Chicago this morning and finally tried v14 FSD. It did not ask me once to put my hands on the wheel for over 20 minutes. It also got me thinking that maybe the fact that I was wearing polarized sunglasses when I was getting the warning might have had something to do with it in the past.
I'm still disappointed with it not reading speed limit signs correctly, if at all. It started fine showing 55, but then I passed a 60mph sign and it didn't change. Same for the next one, but it then showed 10mph after passing a sign that said "JCT 110". This shouldn't be like this and thankfully it didn't reduce my speed to match that. Also, I found myself using Mad Max mode. Once the speed limit finally was showing correctly, Hurry mode would only go 5mph over. Mad Max mode followed the speed of traffic, which was a little over 80. It also didn't seem to camp in the left lane like the old Hurry mode did last year.
i learned today that you don’t need to nudge the right steering scroll wheel left/right to change fsd mode, you can just roll the wheel up/down to go between sloth/chill/standard/hurry/mad-max.
car drove me to a nice brunch out and back home after.

Mine didn't change with scrolling, only nudging (setting?). Also, I only saw 3 modes. No Sloth or Chill.
This was my first time on V14 and it was sunny. It worked well in 2 degree temps, though. I used V13 in heavy rain, but turned it off. It reduced speed for safety reasons, which was actually more of a safety hazard.

Yes that is what I do, just roll the right wheel between modes. Nice and easy.
Last night's software update not only brought a bunch of new stuff, but also seemed to fix the lane change hesitation. Changed lanen right away, even with cars all around 👍

That's good news and I got the new update late last night so I will have to try it out. I used FSD last night and the changing lanes was an issue. I was behind someone in the middle lane of a three lane highway in hurry mode and there was no one in the left or right lane. It turned the right turn signal on and let it blink about four to five times and then turned off without changing lanes. It did this three times until it finally passed the car on the right side vs. the left side which I didn't like. Hopefully this recent update fixed this.
Another thing is I was messing around in FSD and put my finger over the camera by the rear view mirror, it didn't like that at all and the gauge cluster flashed red to take over. Another interesting thing is I used FSD this morning and I had a hat on and it wouldn't let me use hands free steering because of my hat which was kind of cool that it noticed and said I had a hat on.
Lastly, my car pulled up to my house and in FSD I have it set to pull in to charge my car so it backed into my driveway which was pretty cool because that is the only way I can charge my car because of where the charger is located. The only issue is that it started driving into my yard so I had to take over before it went to far into my yard.

So far driving on the freeway with a lot of cars around me it instantly changed lanes, 3 or 4 different times. Didn't seem to be any hesitation this time. If this is actually fixed that is great news!

you know you can manually hit the turn signal while in fsd and it will do which lane change you indicate.
