Do you need a Xanax? My GOD the heat in this forum.
All I said was I don't/wouldn't need it in my current situation.
And explained a real-life situation where it would be ideal.
If a garage is attached to the house and your house has adequate insulation you shouldn't have a problem either.
My situation would be ridiculous. Leave my 68 degree house to get in my 70 degree car? I wouldn't fuss with the fancy preconditioning stuff.
Preconditioning also helps the battery get up to temp so you're at peak operating condition once you get into the car. It's especially helpful on colder days where the temps might reduce regen for the first 15-20 minutes
LoL guys lets all take a Xanax and get off this Garage talk! I don't give a damn how hot or cold any of your garages get or don't get 🤣
The fact that my statement that my cars in my garage don't need to be preconditioned to be comfortable is so provocative that we are still arguing about it is frankly ridiculous...

Haha yep, hopefully we all got it out of our systems

I understand this is technically a GM product. But $5000 rebate is a pretty good deal. $67K with the rebate in CAN prices. Pretty decent size
Buddy of mine just leased one for $432/month. Not sure about the other terms of his lease. He works at Honda so he did mention the employee incentive he received.
Can't take those non-specific dealer rebates at face value, much of the time they are the aggregate of multiple essentially unstackable rebates where you couldn't possibly qualify for all of them (e.g. you have to be a teacher who is also in the military, is a recent college grad while also being a senior and the owner of three different competitor vehicles).

This has not been my experience at all. The dealer advertising a total amount off that is not achievable because the rebates can't be stacked would be illegal, the rebate has to be achievable. "Up to $5,000" means not all customers will have access to the entirety of the rebate (maybe there is a military rebate, or a loyalty rebate for instance) but they can't advertise rebates that cannot be stacked in that way.

That's what the local Ford dealer does here. Not all are like that, but they do exist.
